On a more positive note did you know it was actually a Scot called Patrick Mathew who first published a paper talking about the theory of evolution. That rat English bastard Darwin stole his ideas and the rest is history.

Survival of the fittest, mate. Looks like your intellectual heavyweight Jock withered on the evolutionary vine, while the Englishman flourished. Proof that Darwin was right all along, in which case we are all just monkeys in suits anyway - so you'll be alright <ok>

ps I'll be using my day off to go Xmas shopping up the big smoke. I'll be subtly pointing out how much I like those Sonos speakers and those bean to cup coffee machines, I might even drop by the music shop and gaze lovingly at guitar pedals.

I'd say 90% of my on-line viewing is pedals and gear. 9% porn 15% on-line maths classes.

I try them out in the shop first, same as my basses (apart from one) then buy them from the lovely peeps at Thomann online. While i'm in the shop I pretend that i'm interested in buying but as much as i'd like to help local businesses i'm afraid a £100 or so saving too tempting.

Not got any effects pedals myself yet. Instead of me sounding sh.it I'd sound sh.it with delay!

Still can't stop watching all the gear reviews but it is like a diabetic watching Krispy Kreme doughnuts being made.

get yourself one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/G2-Zoom-...301670&hash=item3d50902d7f:g:4-gAAOSwI59aGdQX

I have the bass version, 40 effects and a 40 rythm drum machine. It's not got the quality of sound required for gigging but it's a great bit of kit to **** around with at home or in a studio. First pedal I bought and I still use it to this day, especially when your drummer takes an extended *** break.

And it has a built in chromatic tuner. Always handy.

I'd love to get to the stage where I could justify the expense of pedals and actually make them worthwhile. Always liked the idea of a big pedal board full of overdrives, delays, wah-wahs and that. I might be getting lessons for Christmas so maybe I could progress to Wind Cries Mary instead of Mary Had a Little Lamb.

Charles Darwin spent a lot of his life worried about the effects of in-breeding, mostly because he was pumping his own cousin. Grove has similar worries though his kids seemed to have turned out okay.
