Look, the universe was created in 2 hours by a magic shetland pony called steve. Anyone who says different is wrong.
Steve doesn't like the name god, he feels it's immoral to assume that one is better than anyone else simply due to a name.
must have missed that, would you care to post it again and i will respond Its more than one discovery, and they are major and specific. Muhammad didnt write it as he was illiterate and some of it was laughed at then and since because science did not see it as feasible. However over time it has been proved right. the embroyological and the non mixing of the waters is but two things. It seems we have become focussed on thses 2 issues. The problem has not been with misinterpretation and mistranslation, the problem has been lack of human knowledge and yes scientific advancement. for example without the strength of microscope, xray, sonar etc the embroyology stages would never have been know. yes there were some who tried to make th everses fit the older (and wrong) explanations but they too have been taught a lesson and proved wrong
where did it come from? who created it and surely if it cannot be destroyed and is eternal, then its creator must be the same or better?
We know, with a great deal of certainty, that matter exists and the Universe exists. Can the same be said of your imaginary friend?
see above we know we exist, the earth, moon, stars etc exist yet there is no plausible answer to how and why all things have to be 'created' and always by a 'creator'
You could ask all of those questions about any god. They would be equally applicable. Why does matter have to come from somewhere? Why can't it just exist? As far as we know, there was no creation. The best answer for that question is that we don't know yet. Using a god as the answer merely moves the question back a step. If god created us, then what created god? Even if this were true, which I don't believe it is, then the same question applies again. What created god, then?
You've been gradually working towards this point throughout the thread. At first you maintained you were 100% in agreement with science, and now your opinions are more akin to Creationism. What evidence do you have that "all things have to be created by a creator"?
You may want to edit that a bit, TFWNN. You're missing the point. If something can be eternal and doesn't need to be created, as you're claiming for god, then why can't matter have those properties? Where does god come into it? If things can't be eternal and everything needs to be created, then you don't have your answer for creation, as you don't know what created god.
I have been 100% in agreement with science? not sure about that science doesnt answer the above questions, however 1400 years later it affirms/confirms a lot which a re mentioned in a book that is claiming to be the word of the creator that is the gist of what i have been saying cretionism? not sure what you think that is. I said evolution doesnt deal with the creation of the universe name somethinh thta is created without a creator
