..I have nothing more to add. Oh, it does have bein sports live coverage of Southampton vs City this morning so there's that.
3 at the back and Lemina, Romeu and Hojbjerg all in midfield. Can't see Austin playing 3 games in a week so much rather he was rested fro Sunday. Like the team and formation. Pellegrino appears to be becoming more flexible with the personnel.
On the one hand, I'm delighted to finally see the formation change. On the other hand, I'm not sure he could have picked a worse game for it. There is every chance that City stuff us, regardless of our formation. But now if they do it, there's a risk that he bins the formation immediately and we don't see it again. The formation potentially isn't going to get a fair chance, if that makes sense. I am though very happy to see so many changes. Rest is the priority.
I wonder if anyone can guess what our tactics today are. HELLO WE’RE LOOKING TO TRY AND WORRY YOU WITH PACE ON THE BREAK. (Not actually a bad plan).
I am happy apart from the front two, would have JWP in to give extra cover to Cedric and take the dead balls and Austin up front as he has some chance of holding up the clearances and scores. Understand MP has gone with our faster forwards but speed is no use if they can't score and we haven't got anyone to take deadball situations
Good team, pace upfront and width with no space in behind. I just hope that they are able to take any chances! Lack of creativity perhaps....
