My mate is a Spurs fan and is in Manchester for work and going to the game tonight, he reckons we will win, **** knows why.
We are going to win 3-1 and shock the football world. Long will get 2 and Cedric will get 1. If I am right I expect to be worshipped like a god.
so last week we were gonna be whooped by Everton and today we're gonna beat Man City! I'm gonna bet a fiver that someone mentions relegation before 9 o'clock!
This is a bit of a free hit after Sunday. Had we lost there then a hammering here really would have set a meltdown in place whereas really no one should make any changes assessment of the squad of the gaffer based on just this if we get thrashed.
Anyway enough about betting on Saints, you can get a tasty looking 13/1 on an away double of Burnley and Hammers.
Will this involve burning effigies? Or just strewing your path with flowers? If I spot any angelic hosts proclaiming the new Messiah, I'll be sure to spread the good news, even if it means leaving my sheep on the hillside. (Think Nativity)
Right my team: Fraser Cedric Virgil Hoedt/Maya Bertrand Romeu Lemina Davis JWP Boufal Long Harsh on a couple after the weekend yes - particularly Tadic and Pierre, but I just feel we need a lot more energy in there which is why I'd have JWP and Davis in rather than Duran and I don't think Pierre is quite disciplined enough as a proper DM and worry he would get pulled all over the place by the City attack. JWP also for set pieces as that could be our best chance tonight. You can't leave Boufal out at the moment and would have him and Long leading the break when we get the chance to do so. I actually don't think we should fully park the bus either, obviously you can't go all out as you'll get destroyed but generally the teams who got joy against them last season were the ones who pressed and got at their back line attacking the space in behind. Whereas when teams fully park the bus against them they struggle to get out of that mindset and city tend to wear them down eventually with their passing and movement. Easier said than done of course considering their quality but remember the only team to take points off them so far are Everton at the Etihad and we now how poor they are. Could also be a great time to play them now the fixtures are building up and they had a tough game at the weekend. Not expecting anything but a comfortable home win but am hopeful we may spring a surprise and you never know as anything can happen in football. Up the ****ing Saints
Me too. Give it a good crack, nothing to lose and no regrets. At least the lads will have some confidence back.
I am hoping that we go 5-3-2. I don't want us to drop too deep like we did against Liverpool and then have not outlets.
Last week i said i felt like the season was over. 4 goals, a change of tactics and some chances given to the fringe players and i'm now really up for this one. What a difference a week makes .
I'd still rest almost the entire XI; keep them fresh for the weekend. (Whilst also having an outside hope of one or two taking their chance like PEH did, ahead of the jam packed festive programme)
