The only thing it might be worth is a cheeky punt to see if we can hold out until half time.

    https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017...nchester-city-premier-league-confident-saints

The two teams occupy two of the top five positions for passes completed in the Premier League this season and the Argentine is keen to see the visitors stick to their possession-based instincts at the Etihad.

“This is a chance for us to put the play on the floor and move them around. City have not had to run behind the ball so far and they are not used to it.

“Of course, there may be moments in the game when we will have to defend more than usual but we have to be ready for that and adapt.

Sounds like we are going to have a go at outplaying them.

I've given this quite a bit of thought and I think I'd line up something like this:

    Forster Taylor

Bertrand Targett Virgil Maya Wesley Jack Cedric Pied

Good to see some Southampton fans in the pub I'm working in (Waxy O'Connors). Everyone welcome to call in if ye can get past the Phil Collins fans enroute to the arena! Sadly I have a flight back home for the sisters wedding so I'm missing the game

I'm looking forward to this funnily enough, everybody thinks we will get battered so it's a free hit so to speak and even a narrow loss will be exceeding expectations. Citeh have to lose sometime and it could just be one of those nights for us and their form isn't exactly sparkling at this moment.

You can still get 13/1 on Saints to win with a draw no bet.

An Arsenal fan has just told me he thinks we can cause an upset tonight.

I told him there was more chance of Arsenal winning the CL/PL double, and Arsene Wenger riding an elephant in triumph up the Seven Sisters Road from The Emirates to Tottenham.

Actually, I'd like to see that last bit.
