The next victims of a refereeing injustice v Arsenal are Huddersfield. Arsenal have a terrible record v the minows having not beat them in nearly 50 years so Wenger has already handed over a large envelope stuffed with Euros (you can never tell what the **** the pound will worth hour by hour!) Wenger has pointed out that both Ozil and Sanchez will not be leaving in January's window which has left Pep and Jose bashing one out over the thought of them being able to get them on a free transfer next summer without being criticised for excessive spending. If Sanchez is worth £90m and Ozil £70m then Arsenal are throwing away more money on those two than Huddersfield have spent in their entire history. Huddersfield managed to batter Jose's bus out of the way but have tended to lose to top 6 teams who play watchable football ... and those who pay off refs! This is a key match in the race for the top 4 as both Spurs and Liverpool are away (to Leicester and Stoke respectively). Come the weekend you could be 4 points clear ... so here's hoping the ref don't accept Euros and Huddersfield keep the 45 year unbeaten in league record against you!
The last time we played against them was in the FA Cup in 2011. I remember watching that game. We were bloody awful. Bendtner scored the opener with a deflected effort and we took an undeserved lead. Squillaci got sent off for fouling the last man when they tried to counter us. After the break, it was all Huddersfield before Alan Lee headed in from a set-piece after the break. In the final minutes of the game, Bendtner was pulled in the penalty area and Fabregas scored the winning penalty. I'm hoping for the same outcome, but a more convincing performance than we had on this day.
Thanks for bringing back flashbacks of ****e players of yesteryear. If it's bad enough having Bendtner as our first choice striker, but Squillaci as our CB in the same team? Damn he was beyond terrible. No wonder Fabregas left us, having to play with the shower of **** that surrounded him. But that also highlights how great a player Fabregas was, lifting a poor Arsenal side to a good one. Now just imagine that same Fabregas in our current setup...

1-0. HT. After a very energised opening 15 minutes, we then reverted to type after that. We've dominated possession and have created a few decent chances, but the final ball has been lacking. Again, sometimes we are taking too many touches on the ball and aren't showing enough drive. Whenever the ball has been in our half, Huddersfield have tried to press us from the front and push up the pitch. Fortunately for us, this has left gaps open between midfield and their defence which the likes of Sanchez, Ramsey and Ozil have managed to get into. We need to utilise our width better. Kolasinac and Bellerin are making some good runs down the flanks, but their crossing has been subpar. Any chances Huddersfield have had have been through our own doing. Which, in a way, is both good and bad. Good because it shows that they've not created much themselves, but bad because they are looking to capitalise on our loose balls and misplaced passes. We need to be less sloppy in possession.
Need to be much more clinical this 2nd half. We will create chances, we just need to make sure we finish them and not get caught on the counter.
We need to kill off this game. It’s no longer “1-0 to the arsenal.” We don’t have the spine to chant that song now days.
He seemed to pick up a knock in the first half. Hopefully nothing serious, we need him for Utd at the weekend.
Maybe Wenger was right after all. He said that it is a perfect situation that two of our players are sitting on outgoing contracts. Ozil is really stepping it up lately. Maybe the entire team should be on outgoing contract......
