It was worded differently. HIAG had plenty of time to assess it before he accepted though. Fosse’s bet was crystal clear and again HIAG had ample opportunity to make his mind up before accepting. He’s now trying to claim that he didn’t understand what he was getting into and that should allow him to be let off he hook. I might try that with my mortgage company, pretend I didn’t understand the terms of the deal and that because of that I shouldn’t have to pay any money back. I’ll let you know how it goes .....
It was meant to be, and Hiag even made a comment that I was “losing my faith in my team”, before accepting the bet. it was then put in the OP by Spurlock. it was then deleted from OP by him after Hiag threw a wobbler and asked for all bets to be cancelled. for a so called hotshot lawyer he isn’t so good at understanding contract terms with consequences
He is almost certainly not a hotshot lawyer but he is right that you have not agreed a contract as there was nothing of value given in consideration.....
Nice story, Pix. I “cancelled” our bet in the mistaken belief that you had changed the parameters. I admitted I was wrong and confirmed that our bet stood. You are trying to wheedle your way out of our bet on the pretext that I entered into bets with others, then cancelled them, and that that somehow permits you to Welch out of wager. It’s patent bollocks, mate. Our bet stands, and you will honour it.
Nobody is interested in your excuses about why you cancelled the bets. All we are interested in is seeing that you honour all the agreements you made
The impetus is on you to honour all of your bets. So as you say, let’s see if you do that come the end of the season. All hell will be unleashed on you should you decide to welch on any of them
