You’re confusing Harvester with Toby Carvery, my friend. That’s the place where they tell you that you can eat as much as you can heap onto your plate, and then give you a plate the size of a cat’s milk saucer.
I bow to your superior knowledge of this subject. Do you stop off at a Little Chef on your way to Bristol?
No. You order off their extensive menu. They have a superb buffet salad bar, and you can eat as much as you like. But, be warned, Tel! Don’t over do it, or you won’t have room for your main course.
I know that I said I don't spend on the bairn at xmas, but because I've won a couple of quid, I've treated her to a new ps4. Not a bad deal, I got the computer and three decent games for £200 in Smyths. I've also treated myself to an early xmas present and I'm gunna go to the Netherlands next week and hopefully catch an Arnhem game while I'm there.
speaking of consoles, my disabled lad wants a switch but they are well pricey anyone got any ideas where i can get a cheapish one? he had the wii and has the wii u etc but wants that one and cant say no to him
I've absolutely no idea what they are. Computer consoles have never been my thing, even as a kid. I just played football or poked girls. The place I keep seeing everybody answer to a question like this, is a shop named CEX, I think that's what it's called.
im the same albeit the kids do try and educate me. Never play the consoles we have ad we have pretty much all of them. lads are old enough to buy their own, and know better than to ask me to pay £50 for fifa. little man i have a soft spot for as he is limited to what he can do, and he never asks for much
my lot had xbox but went for the ps4 over the xbox 1, they did tell me why but i didnt listen have the wii, wii u, ps3, xbox 360 (x2) and various hand held games by nintendo and even found a psp today writing that is vexing me
The problem with Nintendo is that their stuff usually holds it's price far better than Sony and Microsoft. The cheapest Switch I could find is still £279, from a few retailers. Even Cex is the same price and that's for second hand.
yeah its pricey and imo not all that good cex is a strange one. not always value for money. I have seen things cheaper in say argos, new, than in cex second hand £279 is the cheapest i heard of but is that console only? as some are say £299 but the games make it cheaper and apparently the controllers makes a difference too apparently. its a minefield
As far as I can see it's console only, there may be a few deals going around that include games but I can't see any that particularly stand out. Also I'd try and buy new as there are quite a few reports saying that the Joycon and hand held screen have manufacturing problems (connecting via bluetooth and screen bending when connecting the joycons). Regarding Cex if you have any unused consoles or handhelds in good conidition/boxed then they may give you decent prices. It's often not the case but sometimes they pay way over the odds.
Tesco direct are doing it for £269. If you wait until the last few days before Christmas, the price will probably drop again. It would mean taking a chance though and I've no idea how popular these things are.
