visit of the dishes out of our biggest defeat for ages tomorrow I’d go Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Maguire Chilwell Iborra Ndidi Mahrez Okazaki Gray Vardy Here you go @Spurlock What’s your Spurs perspective?
I'd go with: Hugo Dier, Sanchez, Vertognen Aurier, Sissoko, Alli, Rose Eriksen, Son Kane Aurier/Rose as wingbacks. We need to respond after poor performances in our last 3 games LLD.
I like that. Very attacking. I want to see us go for it, right from the off, and never to relent until the final whistle. I fully expect us to pump 20-30 shots at the Leicester goal, and yet still lose or draw this. A draw will be as damning as a loss, of course.
Strong lineup Spursy...... I don’t think you will see Aurier or Rose bombing forward as per usual because of the counter attacking threat of Mahrez,Gray and Vardy at pace..... Very tough one to call and we’re still too vulnerable to set pieces for my liking ! I don’t mind loosing to quality but we are due a result against one of the top six as we haven’t had the points we have deserved from some of the others and have not been outclassed at all ! Massive game for both teams IMO ? Take a brave man to call this game, though the bookies have your boys clear favourites !
I think we will come at you for the first blow...we have had sluggish starts in our last 2 league games. I'm sure Poch will have noted this, Harry Kane mentioned it and I'm expecting(hoping) that there is a reaction. If we get the break through then we will try to pick you off as you commit. If you score first I can imagine you getting a bit deeper and we struggle to get through a team sitting deep. Then of course you will try to hit us on the break. Don't worry about our set pieces...we don't do corners, we get plenty, we just don't utilise them. Direct free kicks are rarely successful. Eriksen does whip in a mean one from about 30 yards out for someone to get a touch on though. Big game indeed...I might be working tomorrow night so if you don't see me around you know why please log in to view this image
Reassuring that your not a set piece team, that’s been our undoing against Stoke, West Brom and West Ham, probably the 3 least football playing sides in the league (now we have stated try to play under Puel). Don’t worry about the slow starts, we’ve had fast starts in the last few games and still conspire to drop points. Not sure why your lot are so negative about your chances in the game, let’s be honest if you can beat teams as bad as us you have problems
Teams have started to work Spurs out a little bit and the way to beat them, or at least get a point, is to stop them playing like West Brom (and even United to some degree) and hit them on the break with pace and get in behind them ... Personally I don't want our focus to be on stopping Spurs playing ... I do want it to be on letting the likes of Vardy, Gray, Mahrez and even Chilwell get in behind them ... could also see a role for Slimani in this one because Davinson Sanchez, whilst an excellent footballer, seems to get a bit ruffled by the more robust type of forward ... Alderwerewolf being out has to be a concern because he is their best defender ... Above all, I just hope it's a really exciting game ... Spurs aren't going to win the title and we aren't going to be involved in the relegation scrap - so both teams should be able to go for it without the mental intensity and pressure that has characterised some games between us in recent times
Man United lost 1-0 Crystal Palace won but only 1-0 Arsenal lost 2-0 West Brom drew 1-1 ... struggled to beat Palace ... lost to United and Arsenal and could only draw at home to West Brom ... so yes, Quents .... teams have started to work out how to nullify your attacking threat ... as I said ... I'm hoping that we will be very positive in our approach in the interests of entertainment ...
No probs Quents ... I'm always happy to help you expand your footballing knowledge beyond the BBC Gossip column mate
Agreed ... you are indeed incapable of learning Quentin ... you will just have to remain at your level of 'scratch the surface' and BBC Gossip Column ignorance

Almost an instant reply by Spurs - was cleared of the line after a good stop by Kasper. Very open game so far.
