in my view micheal oliver is the best ...and he is not allowed to do our games .. what yous recon guys
Oh but I can I watch an awful lot of footie and have criticised Oliver on several occasions He booked Troy Deeney when he should of sent him off the fact that Deeney should of seen red and issued a ban was backed by FA who banned him for 3 games Saying that he's better than most
Must. Admit. Oliver. Has calmed. Down. On the cards A bit like. Atkinson. They must watch the other games because. Commentary. Teams were praising. Refs. For not showing. Card s. Before. This. Problem. With this is that. You neglect. The rules
both ref's will be plying to be the FA Cup final ref at the end of the season the FA don't want a ref that throws out yellow and red cards here there and everywhere trust me it will be one of these who will have the FA cup final
In general I think the quality of referring this yeah has not been good. After on Clatts and Oliver though.
hard to say really . just at the moment if you show little cards then you are a good ref in the eyes of the pundits .. but rules are rules . it should be the same for every ref .
I've come to the conclusion that the only way get consistency in refereeing is to only have one person ref every game. I mean he'd have a job getting round the country and doing 6 games on a Saturday afternoon but I can't see any other way forward.
All Ref's have a secret weapon in their armoury it's called 'Interpretation' the 'Laws of the Game' are set out for every ref as the same it's how they Interpretate the Laws which is the problem and this is how they hide behind their decissions what I can't understand is when a major decision is missed by the ref it goes to a panel and even when you have all the evidence in front of them, they still get it wrong take for instance, Lukaku's kick out at the Brighton player which I have spoke of in the 'For and Against' thread I remember Mike Williamson being done by 'Trial by TV' against Bolton a few seasons back they used grainy images from about 300 ft up in the sky to show some coming together as enough evidence to ban him for 3 games yet the plain images of Lukaku' kick out is not enough to punish a Manure player
always a way ..called video cameras 1 fair game and 2 take out human error . lets face it half them struggle to keep up with play they are that fat
Exactly. The only thing is does everyone really want every decision to be right? everyone loves the controversy deep down. Also if players think everything is going to be referred to the video ref they will all start being really careful and might dull down the intensity of the games. I dunno just a thought. There is probably a middle ground to make sure the big ones are called right
the big ones always seem to get away with murder m8 .. look at manu and man city lately ... if it goes against them .then its allover the media it stinks and damm right not fair
stinks the big clubs getting all the big decisions although theres a theory they get more because they are attacking more. Who knows. As for Michael Oliver, don't rate him myself personally. If theres a big decision to make and its in the first half, he will bottle it and not issue cards for fear or ruining the game.
not sure if you guys had noticed ..last season mourinho was complaining about mr oliver , playing the victim http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...cuses-referee-michael-oliver-costing-man-utd/ well well it seems the fa must of had a word with him .. awful coincidence this mind ... the big clubs do not like it when the shoe is on the other foot
I was referencing the big decisions but its am 100% with you. There is no doubt there is another step in the thought process when refs are making decisions that could negativity impact one of the 'bigger' sides. If you get it wrong sending off Pogba then it's all over the back pages...no one gives a hoot if Joselu is sent off (not even us!)
