Also makes little sense that he'd be adjudged ready to contribute in the Premier League as a striker...and Everton would loan him out. They are as starved for goals are we are.

Everton with no manager is unlikely to agree to that are they? One imagines they wouldn’t agree to a loan or even a purchase.........
Have to say watching the game there was some very exquisite game play at times. I accept Everton were not at its best but some of it was mouth watering. Some moves would have caused a lot of problems even with top defenders. Have to say Austin’s brace were Charlie’s speciality’s spot on. Tadics was special too as was Davis’s.
It goes to show what we are capable of......We just need to start taking the points off teams above us and all will be well......

Already on a par and arguably already superior. Another Black Box super success already.

Does anybody else enjoy the fact that he sports a blond top to his hair. It's the first thing I notice when identifying him. That, and that after he's had a couple of strides with the ball you realise that a top quality player is in control of it. He exudes that kind of class.

And what was all that crap about him being out until February.?

I wouldn't say so, like I say they're different type of midfielders and you're can't claim one is better after less than a dozen games just because they play for Saints.

Lemina is more box to box while Vic is more of an enforcer.

We know that Victor is an enforcer. He can occasionally drift into the box and score. That's his game. He can also be a little heavy and cumbersome, and he can lose concentration.
Lemina is a bloody livewire. He's always quick to the tackle, tigerish even, but fair and comes away with the ball. He can be an enforcer pairing with Romeu and he can get into the box ready to score. And technically, he's a level above Victor, one can easily see that already. He also happens to be pretty good in proper defensive positions. Apparently he has played all along the defensive line and done well, so I agree he is a different player. And on the evidence so far, he's better and more versatile.

Lemina’s alright, but he’s no Jack Cork....

Seems to have sorted out his yellow/red cards since he left....in fact I don't think he has been sent of for Spurs yet? Or I could be wrong.

If anyone in the Saints team has assumed the Victor role it’s Romeu. He seems to be the one who collects the yellows for bone crunching tackles, anyway. Højbjerg did the same job on Sunday, but both of them have more to their game than Victor. Lemina is a kind of hybrid of Schneiderlin with a bit of Wanyama thrown in, but better than either. I would go as far as to say that we are currently better off for defensive midfielders than we have ever been in the Premier League era.
