Smashing 4-0 series win for our cricketers....undoubtedly the best test side we've ever had,if not the best behaved or disciplined...
5.40 Cork Roicead 7/2 Put Roicead up LTO as my NAP and he didn't disappoint, winning readily by 2L to The Reaper, who re-opposes today. Although up 12lb for his latest victory (7lb worse off than The Reaper today) Roicead looks a very progressive sprinter and one with a lot more to give. With regular jockey Willy Supple on board, Brendan Duke's charge looks to have an excellent chance today and a great career ahead. I think Roicead could go on to bigger and better things and this very consistent performer, who has strong form lines with Murura, is a horse I like a lot. What was going to be a decent sized bet has turned into a large one after seeing this on Ger Lyons Facebook (The Reaper) "Only the one at Cork today. Not sure we can beat the fav at this trip as 6f is our best trip but on fast ground we have to run."
Cheers Dexter. Was very confident about him and he didn't disappoint at all. If you take it as Murura and Roicead are progressing at the same rate (kind of hard to) then Murura looks ridiculously well handicapped.
After Roicead's last win I thought that the next time Murura is out it was probably going to be my largest bet ever and with him winning today off a 12lb higher mark this just guarantees it. Murura has an entry in the Ayr Gold Cup on September 17th but may not get into it. Will keep every1 updated on when he runs next.
Really like Cairncross' chances in the 7.20 Windsor. Mark Johnston's only runner there tonight. Backed each-way at 7s as I fear the favourite's chances in this but hopeful of a place at least.
Good luck Beefy...my nap,as feared has developed into a right old dog!!...the guy on his back is fast going the same way, although tbf was not at fault tonight.
Dexter Cocozza was my first bet of the day so I also feel your pain I wasn't sure of the good to firm ground beforehand and consider that softer ground is his optimium. I'm a man after your own heart as I follow John Oxx and Johnny Murtagh a bit too! I can't crib JM too much, he done us a turn on Alanza last week when she looked well beat
Not to worry Beefy...Our leader L Ron Hubbard is gonna guide us to the promised land, the a*** end of the halle bop comet or the pay out window with his nap in the next!!!...I like it and am gonna have a few earth pounds on it...come on Ron!!..
aaaaaagggggghhhhh, missed the bleeding break but took third on the line. Well done with the winner Ron. I think the Cayterers will be winning soon.
