Brilliant performance today - Everton a poor team but really pleased with how we looked. They say a week is a long time in politics.......

Yes two on him except that Virgil was a victim of the pitch watering and lost his footing, would have got the block in otherwise.

And Virgil fell into Davis’s path so he couldn’t get to Gylfi either.

Not what i saw on the coverage beef. The Everton lot looked thoroughly dejected and miserable. Schneids looked as unhappy as anyone I've ever seen after a game.

Good thing that Everton spent so much time in the summer chasing after Siggy. It means that they can enjoy goals like that, rather than have any sort of defence or attack.

Our worst player today. Think he's helping cut the cord.

Hojpoj did everything that Oriol had stopped doing recently, he was mobile, supporting, tackling and distributing, MoTM for me.

I thought he did OK, not as good as he could be, but on half power he is still better than most in his position.

Just read on BBC Sport that Hojbjerg was more accurate with his distribution than any of any other midfielder and made more tackles than anyone else on the pitch?
    Thought he was superb today.

Oh by all means, he did alright, but he's set such a high standard for himself, he's not meeting them, for me.

According to whoscored Gabbiadini has scored 4 goals with his head in his whole career so I doubt he’d have got those two today. I also think Austin is much better than Gabbiadini at receiving the ball with his back to goal, holding it up and laying off a simple pass. Gabbiadini is better in a variety of other ways. Still want to see them play together because I think they would complement each other.

On Austin, if he has been training better recently then I wonder whether a certain Mr Lambert might have had a word in his ear. If anyone is in a position to give advice on that subject it’s him.

He is just recovering from a potential career ending injury, it takes time to heal fully and he will always have that note of caution that it could happen again, he did get a knock shortly before the goal.

Not read through the thread but watched on Sky.

What a cracking result and the performance was much better. Everton are ****. Really impressed with PEH, Davis and JWP today. Tadic had his best game for I don't know how long.
