Not entirely sure how or why Mrs Rose would know that; unless she is sleeping with Poch and Alli at the same time <yikes>

What's more probable is that she is reporting what her son believes to be true. The reality is that Rose probably is going somewhere - Poch just hasn't told him and won't do so until May.

As for Alli, I'd honestly hate to see him go but bottom line is he has the personality and temperament to poison a dressing room. If he carries on with the Sir Stropalot mode he's been in most of the season, I can't see Levy turning down the kind of money we'd be offered for him. With a stadium to pay off and a squad wanting a pay rise, £150m for a hugely talented brat will be too tempting to resist.

Can't see how anyone other than City, PSG, Real or Barca could afford him though.

The only player whose departure would break my heart is Kane.

  6. With our seeming lack of creativity to break down the likes of the WBA’s of this world, should we consider the likes of Shaqiri, who has incredible talent and only 26, but seriously wasted at Stoke. Or is the lack of interest from a big club an indication that there’s an attitude problem? Could Poch fit him into the system?

Exactly, she's just reporting what her son has told her. I'm with you I'd take the money if it were offered.

I'd file his journalistic credibility alongside any report from Ladbrokes.

It immediately fails on team squad credibility,
    let alone any other type.

Rose will go in Jan of Summer, that's pretty inevitable. I think the only thing that determines when is who we get in and at what time. Sessegnon is the ideal option but Shaw (a fit one!) is also a solid alternative.

As for Alli, it does seem as though the media attention has somewhat got to him and while it's affected his performances which has been infuriating at times, I hope we do all in our power to keep him so long as he doesn't become a problem. This is a ridiculously talented young man who's destined to become one of the world's very best. Also very marketable. Personally if we had to sell, I'd want no less than £200m but right now I'm firmly in the boat of "keep at all costs". He even showed against WBA that despite a poor game overall he still bagged an assist, that sort of quality is rarer than what we'd like.

Danny Rose should rot on our bench and miss out on the world cup for being a twat.
If he goes to Chelsea it simply proves he is a lying money grabbing ****wit (he claimed he wanted to go back North to be near home) ... if we are offered over £50m in Jan then sell the cock.
Dele should be kept for at least our first season at the new ground end of. Same goes for all our other first teamers.

Some rumours about Utd bidding £40m + Shaw for Rose in January. Sounds like bullshit, but still.
I think that Pochettino would be very tempted, as Shaw was one of his pets at Southampton.
Putting the money towards Sessegnon might make it worthwhile, but it would still be a very annoying transfer, for me.

I've come to terms with Rose leaving ever since his interview. Loved/ love watching him in full flow but that interview left a real sour taste with me. I'll always support him while he wears our shirt but if he left tomorrow I wouldn't lose much sleep, so long as a replacement was sought. Poch has a knack of making fullbacks go up a level so whoever players in those positions is of no concern to me, they usually do a good job, albeit Rose and Walker were exceptional at theirs under him.

I'm less bothered about him leaving as I am him joining a rival, especially one that's had a word in his ear.
I've basically written him off since that interview. Pochettino's done well to play it all down and brush it over, so he doesn't lose value.
Not convinced that Shaw's a great move, either. He's looked awful for Utd and his attitude's been suspect.

  16. Sessegnon plus money in the bank would certainly be a better option IMHO! :emoticon-0148-yes:

I think Shaw was sucked into the whole "become a superstar at Utd at a young age" move. As good as a winner Jose is (LVG too), he's not a good man manager for young players and I think Shaw is suffering from that. His injuries hasn't helped but I think he needs a manager who trusts him and if he were to join us in place of Rose, he'll have a manager who made him seem like Ashley Cole's heir and that could see him revive that sort of exciting form he showed at Southampton. All ifs and buts of course but I think there is a top player in the making with Shaw.

All that said, I'd rather Sessegnon. Kid looks special and perfect for Poch to mould.

His injury record is not something we can afford to gamble on IMO either. Our full back rotation needs athletic, fit players who can slot in when called upon. Shaw does not fill me with confidence. I’d rather we signed a young hungry kid like sessegnon. Him coming to Spurs is literally the perfect move for his career development.

    Agree about Sessegnon.
With regards Shaw's injuries, he is much more likely to recover from then than Rose. remember Rose was out for months and he could very easily get another knock to the knee the way he plays and at his age it could be the end.
    I say ''bank'' now.
Take the £40mill plus Shaw; give Fulham £30mill and a loan till the end of the season. We end up with two LBs and £5mill in the bank in place of one LB.. No brainer.

What would you do with Davies?

I'd rather sell Rose for £60m, buy Sess for £30m and have £30m in the bank rather than a 3rd choice crock on the bench.
