Flanagan would rarely ever get caught out of position the way Moreno countlessly did against Sevilla. I agree that he isn't the standard we'd like but I think he could offer something in our rotational full-back setup. Edit - Mohamed Salah is flamin brilliant. His running off the ball is deadly. He nearly replicated his West Ham strike when he ran onto Coutinho's ball today.
Sorry but I’ve never seen him organise a defence. The guy can’t defend. There’s this misconception that he’s a good defender because he puts in strong challenges in but his positioning is terrible and has little IQ. Combined with the fact that he has no physical attributes either.
Flanno wouldn’t get caught out because he would never attack. It’s easy to sit deep when you have zero responsibility to get forward.
you've never paid attention then you've missed the finer details. plus just about everything you've said there is incorrect tbh.
Both of you are sort of correct. Flanno did make runs forward and rarely got caught out, but that was also because wingers took him on 1 on 1 and seemed to dribble past him with ease. Having said that, I still believe our current fullbacks aren't great and Flanno could play a role.
In what way... Anyways, let’s not derail this thread by discussing crap like Flanno. How good is Salah ...
His signing was probably the only time we have ever agreed about a player but yeah he is right on it atm & if anything is getting better - pity he is such a poor finisher.
Increased his PL tally to 12 (top scorer) and season tally stands at 17. He has scored 8 in November alone. Suarez finished the season on 31 (all comps), can Salah beat this? Stats aside, I think Salah is currently head and shoulders above any other player in our time right now. When he came on he lifted the team.
He didn't care about Chelsea, he refused to celebrate out of respect for over 300 people who died in an attack in his home country a day before.
