Consummate professional. Concentrates at all times. I doubt he's ever acknowledged the shags ten birds a night song. I don't I think he's ehabs boy. Ehabs been to all the night games at ferriby for the last few years, think pennock got in his ear. And it's where Ehab got his football "philosophy" from.
Fact is the Allams will not pay compensation. They are waiting for him to walk away and it cost them nothing. I hope he stays.
I think Slutsky will be sacked this week, unless he does the honourable thing and resigns. I have seen us get beat by sides that play as a football team. They may be poor but they play as a team and consequently get results. We play as a collection of individuals. That is down to Slutsky and his failure to create a football team with the individuals we have. To me that is the primary job as a manger and he has failed miserably. The problem with Ehab is he's waited far too long before getting rid.
For large parts of the game yesterday we were the better side. 2-0 was a fair reflection after an hour. Once we conceded the first you feared the worst. The belief within the team evaporated in a flash. Add to that stupid substitions, static defending, panic and a half decent team who smelt our fear and went for the jugular and the outcome was all but inevitable.
Well, you maybe right, but he didn't stick around when Phelan left, and I would guess the same will happen if someone new comes in.
Let's be honest - Slutsky is a poor manager but WHO can bring success if the backing isn't there from the owners?
Slutsky is clearly not a poor manager given his track record. However, he hasn't done a good job for us. Yesterday we played as a team for 70 minutes and dominated the game. For me we played some very good stuff. What I would love to see is how many goals we have conceded due to individual errors, as we concede tons due to them which is something no manager can plan for.
Lack of a question mark there suggests he can bring success if the backing isn't there from the owners. Trouble is we will never know what he could have done given a fair crack of the whip.
If we are relying on Doctor Who to get us out of this, we could be in trouble. Most teams don't play a Dalek up front against us.
We could end up with this crazy situation where we lose every week, Slutsky comes out with the same "I would understand if I got sacked" stuff and the owners refusing to sack him as they would lose parachute payment dosh.. it's a you first.. nah you..and very damaging farce
Heres a question.... based on parachute payments and the vindictiveness of the twats in charge, are they happy for this team to free fall, knowing they have all their money back and with the opportunity to cash in on Grosicki and the unforeseen opportunity to cash in on Bowen in January. Knowing the pain the supporters are currently suffering I can see them keeping Sluts and not paying him off.
I've read recently in russian press that Chelsea loanees are given exactly to Leo, cause Abramovich thinks that Leo is good at developing young talents. If Leo will be sacked - loanees will be called back - Allams will be forced to buy new defenders. If they are so greedy about investments that can be painful for them to sack Leo now.
I can't see that happening. It's not as if Chelsea don't send players out to plenty of other clubs. Chelsea will be happy as long as they continue to gain experience.
