Kuyt: Advised to think over offer from Inter Milan .Sky BetSky Bet are offering everyone a Free £10 Bet Claim your free bet now ....Dirk Kuyt's agent claims Inter Milan have made an offer for the Liverpool forward. Inter are looking for striking reinforcements with Samuel Eto'o poised to join Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala and Kuyt is on their list of targets. The Italians have held a long-term interest in the Holland international and they tried to sign Kuyt last summer while former boss Rafa Benitez was still in charge at the San Siro. Kuyt's representative Rob Jansen admits the 31-year-old needs to think about the offer from Inter. "Inter Milan have made an attractive offer for Dirk and he has to think about it," Jansen told RTV West. "However, the two clubs have yet to agree a deal." It is unlikely Liverpool would be willing to sell Kuyt as he enjoyed a strong second half to last season
"Inter Milan have made an attractive offer for Dirk and he has to think about it," Jansen told RTV West. "However, the two clubs have yet to agree a deal." I personally would be very disappointed if kuyt leaves. he has been a solid player for us over the last 5 or so years and last year really played his part, scoring dramatic penalties and even a hattrick against our big rivals- Manchester United. He might not be a first choice this season in Kenny eyes, but i believe he atm is better than henderson on the right wing, and a great 3rd choice striker when suarez or carroll get injured.
I was shocked when I read the news. I hope he doesn't leave, but if he does, he'll leave with our blessing
If Kuyt leaves I only hope Kenny has a new striker in mind for us. We'd be a little fragile in that department if Kuyt goes. Carroll has come back from a long injury... could happen again- plus, he might not end up being worth his cost. Other than Suarez- what other striker do we have worthy of the starting XI?
Good point. If Kuyt leaves we definetly need a replacement and it'd have to be quality to fill Kuyt's boots. Although I'm sure Kuyt will stay.
Well there rumours once more of us going for sturridge. But i believe the press might have made it up as it such an obvious transfer target- young and english
It's not true guys. If you remember last year when Benitez was in charge of Inter, they made an offer for him. A Dutch site has mistakenly re-reported the old article today, and that's where the rumours have emerged from.
As I said on the other thread, it's an old article from this time last year that has mistakenly been re-reported on a Dutch news site. All rumours come from there.
Hope and suspect you may be right SuarezLFC! I did see us linked with Doyle too a £10mill bid. Surely not- certainly a step down from Kuyt.
Didn't he sign a new contract last season? I know contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on but that tells me that he is happy at Liverpool. Would be very surprised if this happened.
Seriously, it is. I remember the quotes from last year. Those reported are exactly the same ones. You'd think journos would do a bit of research before latching onto it.
Kenny's been praising Kuyt: "Dirk is a fantastic player for this football club," Dalglish told the club's official website. "He does work hard for the team, but then sometimes that work ethic disguises the ability he has got as well, so don't forget he has got a fair amount of ability. "It's fantastic for anyone to get 50 league goals for his club and that will be a great milestone for him when he gets it." It could be true and he's just letting Dirk know he's valued.
@bensmith_Times tweets: “I can confirm the Dirk Kuyt to Inter Milan rumour is total rubbish.”
Really really lazy jounalism and even lazier for the websites to post it. I have seen it on about 3-4 different sites now that Inter and Kuyt are in the works.....
Yeah, I heard of an experiment once to see how quick it would make it to a news site and someone posted it as news. Didn't quite work, but I bet if one news site published it, others would follow. I think you can google Rafael Da Silva and Hot Dog to see how far the perpetrators got.
