Great performance & win which unfortunately does not improve our league position. Thanks all, til the next time. oh we now have a positive GD!
A very good three points on the road - on another day I think we would have doubled that scoreline though. MS will have to do some thinking about who he plays up front. Kabasele and Hughes both outstanding I thought, with honourable mentions to Zeegelaar, Mapps and Gomes.
Bring it on!! Silva v Mourinio Dacoure v Pogba Richarlison v Rashford Gomes v DeGea Silva telling the players keep winning and I stay! Really looking forward to Tuesday!
Annoying... Watford run riot How much do Everton now have to pay to prise Marco Silva away from Vicarage Road? https://www.101greatgoals.com/news/social/newcastle-fans-slam-one-player-after-watford/
Yes, but the gap opens below us and we’re tight on Burnley now. Have a look where say, 4 points from Everton and Chelsea would have us placed...nothing to fear or lose on Tuesday and next Saturday now. Bring them on!
Shearer on MOTD - be all about how poor Newcastle were then. Another impressive attack display and it could have been more !
I got back in time to see the second half, and how impressed I was with our pass then move into an open space. We nearly always had a spare man that we could pass to, and some of the attacking play is a pleasure to watch. Despite his goal Gray missed a couple of sitters, but worked hard dragging defenders around. Could clearly hear the travelling angels. Well they were high up.
Charlie Nicholas said that Newcastle were all over the place at the back, but also that we played well and took advantage. He also said that he was disappointed with Gray. In the pre-match build-up, there was a consensus among the pundits that if Hughes keeps playing well, he may come under consideration for the friendlies in March, and ultimately, the World Cup itself. There was also the mention that he played for the U-21s under Southgate. It seemed against West Ham that he is very left-footed, which would be an issue in international football
