I thought Ekuban looked pretty decent considering the little football he has played, he tracked back and tackled better than any striker I have seen before. A couple of poor decisions but not glaringly bad and something that will improve the more game time he has. That's Ekuban and Roofe ahead of Lasogga for me.

Ekuban, Alioski, Saiz and Hernandez ran the show today, I thought Phillips and O'Kane both had a bit of an off day but then is it their job to cover at the back when our full backs get forward? Was it just the other four were so good today nobody else managed to get noticed much...

 

6 points in 6 days. I reckon if we can keep that pace of a point a day then we should be able to get another 162 points before May 5th!

 

I still like Lasogga and think he can just score goals in a way that Roofe and Ekuban have yet to do. But it's nice to have Ekuban as an option and means Grot can be bloodied in properly like today - playing for a short time whilst we're winning.

 

Actually they paid us 500k for him

 

Don't think anyone played bad,the fact the keeper had a quiet day is testament to that.

Think it made them run around more just to keep warm

To be fair our players are from Macedonia, Sweden, Holland, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland and Ireland and it gets fooking freezing in those places so we have no worries there

Even Ekuban's played in Albania

Albania is opposite corfu mate but i get your point.

 

And I know the goalkeeper is not exactly everyone's favourite but nice to see this from the fan who gave him his cap in the first half

I will so he can relax, think we carry Phillips a bit. But on a positive to that, I would preserve with Ekuban up front, worked so hard, bloody fast, just needs a little more composure in front of goal.

 

Barnsley weren’t the best, but we played some good stuff going forward... saiz And alioski worked hard and showed some class today. Liked the look of ekuban... thought we looked a little shaky at the back when they got their act together a bit at the end, but always great to get an away win at Barnsley - well it’s great to get a win anywhere.

 

Not sure that got their act together, thought we decided to sit back on what we had, few moments they had was when we dwelt on the clearance occasionally.
