Winds me up needs switched off at the wall about 6 times a week for dropped signal, but I need all the sports channels so can’t leave Sky.

    Annoying.

My wife signed us up to Sky Q last month.

An 18 month contract. We can only have upstairs now whereas before it was downstairs as well.

The damn thing loses its signal every day so recordings are lost.

We've now only got Netflix downstairs and I don't want to watch just box sets or films in the living room.

Technology is supposed to make life better and easier when all it does is make it more ****ing complicated and user unfriendly!!!

Never been more proud to be a luddite!!!

You can have Q as many rooms as you like but you need to get boxes, the additional boxes run off Wi-fi.

Never said it was useless mate where it’s good it’s excellent.

Been on Watchdog a few times this year about speed claims etc though, no question when it’s good it’s decent.

For me, I was getting 120mb but it kept disconnecting and that’s no good to anyone, the router looked like summat from 1992 I swear there was a hamster in a wheel in the ****er.

Any B.B. is only as good as the signal reaching your devices.

I am on the much maligned talktalk and been with them for over 10yrs - experienced no real problems. They have some good deals on currently. I've not had any reasons to Diss them and feel they probably get a bit of the negative coverage Sunderland get. Obviously they are not perfect but what ISP's are. Think about them :emoticon-0148-yes:

Virgin seem to have upped their game a lot lately and it looks like they offer the best value for money overall if the equipment passes the test. Can't be any worse than the ****ty Sky Q box.

Virgin setting up in our area putting in their high speed cables. May change to them if they offer good deal promotions.

Yes same for me with them since Tiscali and have not had any real problems infact only an issue with BT connectivity. I have a pretty good deal which includes a UView box and can access movies , Sky sports of BT channels by paying a small amount for a boost. But I'm not bothered as any big Sunderland games I miss I watch at a pub or a friends house. But as Virgin are laying cables in Washington think they may offer a promotional good deal -if not will stay with TalkTalk :emoticon-0148-yes:

Been off the internet since last Wednesday, Sky disconnected us a day early without prior warning.
The wife got us a good deal on BT thanks to Nads for his input, I'm back on line on Friday, borrowing my daughters internet at present.
Thanks for all the suggestions I knew this forum wouldn't let me down, Cheers lads.
