Fossy, that was a one off. Yes what you said is true in that respect but total nonsense in the grand scale of things.

If what you did get's repeated a couple more times by other teams you may have a point, but it won't happen again imo.

That teams* that are built at the whole cost of half of a Man City player will be able to compete with Man City over a long period.

    *Leicester in this case

...where did I actually say that? ... if you'd actually read the post properly, or perhaps were just a bit brighter, you'd see the point I was making is that spending the most money is no absolure guarantee of success ... but it does make it more likely ...

Thing is, you have become so rattled by me and Leicester City generally that you lauch into offensive before you've even finished reading ... even Jamie Vardy's missus has you rattled from the Australian jungle <laugh>

    WTF.

This isn't about whether I like Leicester or not. All I'm saying is your example was a total one off, until it happens again a couple of times it's nonsense. At present money does more than 'most likely' give you better chance of success. Other than your example it's always the clubs with bigger riches that win. Fact.

How did I launch into an offensive? You just did exactly that and replied to me by getting personal.

Also: I'm yet to find anyone that likes Mrs Vardy. Got nothing to do with Jamie Vardy ffs!

You'd make a great poster boy for fans from big money clubs for trying to buy silverware . 100 million here , hundred there....didn't work ... Who cares .... Buy more .

City and United have spent the most money over the lazt 3 seasons but neither won the title ...but one of them probably will this ... I'd say my acual point is proven ... no guarantee but they are 'likely' to have success ... thanks ...<ok>

The top 4 is generally the clubs that have money. The year you won it was a one off and is very unlikely to happen again. That was my point, not sure why you struggle to understand that?

Even more important than buying titles and domestic cups , than tons of money spent in the transfer market , is the ton of money spent on wages to actually keep the investment into the player there . The top 3 wages payed to teams win almost everything

haha have to disagree here. With or without Chelsea it would always lead to today as its about viewing figures and sponsorship money and is generally the way the world has gone in all popular sports in terms of wages and just generally life (celebrity status etc).

Chelsea might have accelerated it but it's certainly not the cause in my opinion.

As for Chelsea being bang average before... it's a shame it's true, we were at the level Liverpool are now, fighting for CL spots :(. We have Roman to be thankful that we are now challengers

You might well be right Bobby but it's just predicting what would/could have happened. I'm just saying what DID happen <ok>

not really, before us United were still maybe 20m -> 30m transfers with their own money before Roman took over.

Maybe i'm misunderstanding what you mean about the financial cesspit but Blackburn were the first to spend big big money. Roman was the first to spend big money, maintain and build a dynasty. As for overblown transfer fees and wages, that isn't because of Roman, it's to do with the money in the game. Real and Barca have been doing that **** for years.

The only thing you can blame Roman for is the proliferation of foreigners buying into PL teams and bankrolling them to successes (or in the case of most the other teams, unsuccessful as they are businesses rather than someones hobby)

@Skylarker you have to blame Houllier and Liverpool for this. If you hadn't let us beat you for that final champions league spot, Roman might have joined :p

Exactly my point about the ****tards on this forum(like yourself) who always finds fault in the progression(without the financial doping) of a club like Spurs. 6th highest budget and always flirting with top 4...not bad at all.

I dont find any fault in the progression of Spurs.
As a club, other than Levy being a miserly ****, I think they are a good model.
A lot of Spurs fans have a massive bee in their bonnet about the success of other clubs though, specifically Arsenal and Chelsea, and more recently, Leicester, and it turns them into dribbling ******s.
This isn't all Spurs fans of course, but that element is very much there.

Also those songs..........Ya just got Kaned, One Club, Tottenham 4 life??
