Everybody has a choice and he chose is. To be honest I don't even know who he is yet he's supposed to be the spokes person from my club. People like to feel important and last night he did for a few hours.
Embarrassing innit. Most of those full of themselves on here dont attend or worse still..pretend they do. Root OUT ( LBW)
What else is he to do? What is there to lose? The trust has spent years trying to get this, what is anyone going to gain by shunning the Allams? It's not going to change anything they've done and it's not going to make any impact on their future decisions. They know they're not liked, they don't need a cold shoulder to tell them that. Maybe just maybe they've decided it's gone far enough and it's time to get the house in order, and if they've not then nothing changes. Tomorrow will be just like yesterday. Except the fans will be even more pissed off, and likely trigger more heated protests. Whichever way this goes it's probably for the better, I can't see any logical reason why the meeting should have been boycotted. Care to elaborate?
SUPPORTERS' LIAISON COMMITTEE Wednesday 22nd November 2017. Chaired by: Ehab Allam .... '..... He also feels very strongly that the club is in a much healthier financial state than when the Allams first took over the club. He went on to explain that although heavily criticised in some quarters for not been football fans, they feel this has been of considerable benefit to the running of the club. Instead of letting their hearts rule, Ehab says they have implemented a sound business case, running the club as efficiently as possible. Based on attendances? League position? marketing? .... In discussions on branding Ehab did not rule out the use of Hull City in the emblem. He did point out during City’s long history there has been numerous seasons when the emblem has not featured the team’s name. But never imposed against a backdrop of the name change and rebranding ......The OSC would like to thank Ehab Allam and the club for the opportunity to engage in dialogue at this level and acknowledges the efforts of all present at the meeting to begin the process of moving forward positively. Why the **** should the OSC feel the need to thank owners for engaging in dialogue?' SUPPORTERS COMMITTEE MEETING - WEDNESDAY 22ND NOVEMBER 2017 .....'The Vice-Chairman reminded the committee of the initial reasoning for the change to zonal pricing, the abuse of concession tickets by adults. There was a suggestion by one Committee Member that stewarding the turnstiles could eliminate this issue. EA responded that the safety certificate dictates a minimum flow rate through the turnstiles. If there were more thorough stewarding, we would fall below this minimum rate and risk failing the safety certificate.' Turnstiles are manned anyway because of the **** scanners. Also would it really be any slower than the thorough searching for stress balls? 'He then asked the group if the issue was one of affordability or the principle of a concession.' your nose is growing Ehab Are you forgetting your previous communications and appeals to the Premier League and the pathetic proposal to correct it by raising adults prices. The Committee felt that the priority was more the principal of concession and having a clear differentiation between an adult and a concession/junior price. No ****ing ****, Sherlock They are ****ing idiots. I certainly don't feel in a conciliatory mood.
Where has he said he’s the spokesperson from your club? He’s nowt to do with the club. He’s the elected Chair of the Supporters Trust. He didn’t attend “just for himself”. He was there representing Members of the Trust. Like the other attendees who were there representing supporter groups his personal choice regarding attending was irrelevant. If he chose not to go, another Trust representative would have attended in his place. Geoff was the right choice to represent the Trust Membership at this meeting. I’m guessing you know this anyway.
Just had RH on in the car earlier. Nice to agree with them for once.some tit said they weren't represented at the meeting. The presenter said join the trust the oldies or the osc or all three if eligible. Then you have a voice and can influence.
7 yrs of progressively worse lies, abuse and manipulation. The honourable battle of CTWD, the dishonourable and disrespectful loss of the Allam family. Their continued aggression and manipulation right up to today and no sign of abatement. Once upon a time they may have been due the respect that a face to face meeting proffered, but too much water has passed under the bridge and positions needed to change to reflect that. Instead all has been ignored, no real lessons learned and they have been granted the propaganda oxygen that their new strategy needs to survive. There is no new respect, just mealy mouthed words and further manipulation. A cold shoulder works to let someone know they have overstayed their welcome and the Allam’s certainly have.
Pay your dues, have your say. I’ve just packed in my Union Rep role at work. The times I got asked for help by non-members via members was incredible. My answer was always along the lines of “Tell them to sign up & pay their dues until then **** ‘Em”. Join a Union.
Is the thought of change for the better scaring some posters. It may even mean having to attend a game. Scary thought.
No I had no idea never heard of any of them. They mean absolutely nothing to me and yet they where given the opportunity to express frustration at the rebranding but chose to say it's the few who feel this way.
There’s a long way to go before then for me, but it’s a start. They'll never right the wrongs, they’ll always be ****s (in my eyes), they’ll be here for foreseeable future but they’re now communicating with at least one person who is willing & capable of influencing change. If these talks continue in the interim time between now & them selling & they improve relationships & possibly bring about positive changes for the better, however small, then it’ll be worth it. It would be wrong of the Trust & be letting down their Members if they turned down the invite to interact with the club in an attempt to resolve the issues at hand.
Can't disagree with that post. I'm sure some will try. I'm waiting for obis take on it. There's no going back for them now. They have to do something.
Then no doubt it will be meeting 3 etc. Ehab knew perfectly well what was to be discussed and what the fans wanted , he can't act as if it's news to him that people want proper concessions or the club to use the actual name of the club Delay , delay , stop the protests , change nothing
There was no need for a meeting. The Allams already knew full well what the majority of supporters want. (And in the intervening time, even managed to pull a further totally infantile, unnecessary, antagonistic 2 fingers stunt by removing the sign). They have a well documented track record of lying. The response to their proposal to meet should simply have been "when you take actions to put right the wrongs then we might meet and discuss with you, but till that happens, the protests (and non-attendances) continue". We need to see actions, not hollow words. Instead 'we've' pandered to them, we've agreed to play their silly games, and as a result are being bum-****ed yet again.
Heard some of it too on way home. Fair point that. However, why oh why are the presenters so out of touch with how the majority of fans feels and with the facts behind what's been happening at City these past few years. They continue to defend the indefensible, or if not, at least convincingly play devils advocate .... just like I used to do on CI something like 3 or so years ago when I was on the fence until it became so obvious that the Allams are simply ****s when it comes to our football club.
I don't want to repeat myself ad nauseam, but **** it, here goes... I won't attend games until they're gone. I do care that re-branding stops and fair concessions return and our club name returns to the shirt. That would make it better for everyone who attends games. But for me, it's Allams out or nothing. Sorry, someone might have missed me say that the last hundred times...
