Bob Ferris has kicked the bucket. Rodney Bewes has gone. See ya, Kidda: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-42067506

Terry will just have to take up with Thelma [there was always a hint of something there]. Here's the full theme tune to Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads, written by Mick Hugg [of Manfred Mann - that's why it sounds like them] and Ian La Frenais:

These are the two Bjork albums that I have . "Debut" is a bit erratic and nowhere as near as good as the later disc. I was never too fussed by Bjork when she was at ther height ofher popularity but came to here music through contemporary jazz as her tunes frequently get covered.. "Hyperballad" has almost become a standard.. I think that Debut has the track with avant jazz saxophonist Oliver Lake on one track. Bjork is more switched on musically than most people listening to her music would realise.

This is my favourite Bjork tune which Dave Douglas covered about 15 ears ago

This clip kills a number of birds with one stone. Travis Sullivan's "Bjorkestra" with guest trumpeter Dave Douglas playing "Hunter" - shame rthe sound isn't quite as good as on the album but the arrangement is superb. Becca Stevens is the singer.

Currently listening to this. I was never a huge MCR fan but some of their songs were okay. This is just hugely nostalgic as it was pretty popular when I was in school, and I know my then friends whom I've not spoken to in years, liked it a lot. Feel like I'm back in 2006. The first bit is good, and I like the ending (the last 90 seconds or so, starting with 'do or die') though the middle's a bit meh. But hey, nostalgia is a powerful force.

Oh god, I've turned the thread in a mid-noughties emo fest!

Saying that, I like the MCR song that's in the Gran Turismo 5 soundtrack.

Though it's not got any particularly nostalgic vibe for me, but it is a good racing song.

Yes, I have heard it, and you can see why James Patrick Page was inspired to work his genius on it.
