Almost had it too easy and too much time.

 

Tony Pulis says he will plough on if asked to do so. Opinion on MOD last night was that he had never been relegated, so was the man to get them out of their current difficulties. WBA seem to be looking for a change from his type of football.

Great result though ! I know a lot of Cologne fans who will be very happy that the first European experience for 25 years is not quite dead yet. Now comes a trip to a mini cup final in Red Star Belgrade - I don't envy them that trip. They need all the consolation they can get - last in the league and with the chance of being replaced by arch rivals Fortuna Düsseldorf.

They had some football on the French TV tonight from the Europa League as Lyon were playing. It was so boring I switched over after ten minutes. The stadium was half empty, and I wonder why this is regarded as worth showing.

 

Meaningless Europa league game - nothing to play for.

Mind you least Lyon got through - less said about Everton the better!
