Firstly contact doesn't (always) make it a foul. Secondly Unsworth doesn’t want contact taken out of the game but the FA judgement today is about whether Niasse simulated a foul - and he did. The contact he got is what Unsworth doesn’t want taken out of the game!

 

The FA have now drawn the line, set the standard.

Suarez and Bale amongst others could fall over a blade of grass, some refs were fooled others gave a yellow, but considering what's happened to the Everton player it's only the FA using him as an example, but I guarantee that something similar will happen in the coming weekend games and there won't be a two match ban for the culprit/culprits.

 

One more second - look at Niasse's legs and also note clear air between him and Dann.

 

Fully agree. This Niasse dive is one of the least worthy of a ban, far worse have been seen and will be seen and go unpunished. Very harsh on him.
