I have been very impressed by Frazer Richardson's performances this season. For me, he has been outstanding and has clearly raised his game. He looks comfortable at the back, solid in the tackle and composed when in possession, he seems like a brand new signing.

There was much debate before the start of the season as to who out of him and Butterfield should be first choice right-back, however there can be no doubt right now that Richardson is way ahead in the pecking order.

Last-season, he didn't get a start for quite a while due to injury and played as a bit-part player throughout, however this season, he's been given the chance to show what he's made of and has really grabbed that chance with both hands.

Yes I always thought he was the better option and now he has been able to start the season properly he is showing how good he really is. Still good to know Butterfield is there as cover though as he is a solid player too.

Definately class. The other thing is that he has captained Leeds and is clearer a big influencer.
Watching him against Leeds and Ipswich, he doesnt half put a tackle in, he is just a cube of strength.
I also think he is very good defending crosses, especially positionally and in the air, cutting out balls to the back post - thats the aspect of Hardings game I would like to see improve!

Didn't have the best of games against Millwall but to be fair Bouzza played well for them. In the other games I have seen him play though he has been very solid.

He's been excellent so far this season. Has challanged Fonte as our best defender so far.

Agree with this assessment and it is good that we have Butterfield as backup - whilst he might lack pace, he is experienced enough not to get caught out of position. Back to Richardson; I will admit that at the start of the season I did not see him as a starter and am happy to be proven wrong.

I think the thing between Richardson and Butterfield is that Butterfield will consistently give you a 6/10 performance week in, week out. Richardson may have the odd 'off game' but is definitely capable of performing at a higher level than Butterfield IMO.

Yeah agreed Richardson has been marvellous this season so far with maybe the exception being against millwall, where he maybe looked a bit off. Much quicker than I thought he was and gets forward well and delivers good crosses, maybe even better than butterfields! But is also extremely solid when defending which obviously is key. Now he's had a pre season is our 1st choice rightback and rightly so but butterfield really is brilliant cover. 2 strong rb's

I think he's absolutely quality! He puts in 110% every game, doesn't stop running, good in the air, strong in the tackle and I like how, unlike Butterfield, he closes down his marker rather than waiting for him to come towards him. Brilliant!

Woman A : What do you look for in man?
Woman B : I like a man with nice forearms.
    *silence*

On topic. I have always rated Richardson but I also like Butterfield too. It's a nice situation to be in.

Really solid so far this season. Butterfield is really getting on now but looks like a nice and funny man in the changing rooms. I think Butterfield will be released at the end of the season and someone with more quality will come in like Fox from a Championship club (If we don't get promoted).

But Richardson looks like a totally different player compared with last season and that can only be good for this club.
