...I have it on good authority that we therefore 'dominated Europe' ... wow! ....and that, of course, after predictions in some quarters that we would, in stark contrast, suffer a dramatic downward spiral after our title winning season ... those you made such ill judged predictions must be feeling pretty silly now, I guess <ok> <whistle>

  2. To be consistent in my appraisal I do have to allow for the possibility that we have fluked our progress.

See, Bambs. I have the stones to admit that. Do you have the stones to admit to LCFC’s flukes?

Unless you expect us to win it - I don’t - then we’re bound to get beaten at some stage.

We’ll take it as far as we can....

You also need a bit of luck as well as playing home & away with discipline, as you know its a whole different ball game to the PL.

Same would be said for us last season but a certain supporter of your club found it very difficult to face the fact an 2-1 aggregate defeat to Athletico Madrid wasn’t the dry humping he had been hoping for

Credit where it’s due by the way, it was a strong group. Quite interesting that you got through after being dumped out of a ****e group last season. Must be the years extra experience used wisely

Great achievement to win that group.

Shame for football fans that Dortmund and Real Madrid have been decimated by injuries this season but I hardly imagine that Spurs fans care. Well done.

Thankfully, Spurs haven't had many injuries

You've done well to keep Kane relatively fit and effective through what looked like an injury that could keep him out for a while.
Alderwiereld is your only major concern at the moment, but Dier slots in quite well at the back, so you've got some decent options.

Didn't realise he was out too. You have Dembele who can play there too though.

Spurs have had a few but Real Madrid have had 18 injuries from 20 games.

Can't find season-wide stats for Dortmund but they're currently missing 8 players. Eight.

Dortmund have been utter cack this season. Real are a shadow of their former selves at the moment. Fair play to Spurs, you can only beat what's put before you, but I think they've played Real and Dortmund at their weakest moments in some time.

38 games .... won the league by a 10 point margin .... plenty of opportunities for bottling it (as you are well aware <whistle>) ... so no fluke in that Quentin .. all down to having the stones to see the thing through, when all is said and done <ok>

.... perhaps you just need some help coming to terms with it? .

Who were the 18 players that were injured for the Spurs game?

Sounds like you're trying to manipulate the numbers to fit whatever point you're trying to make. We've had a number of players injured or suspended at one or more points throughout the season: Lloris, Trippier, Vorm, Rose, Dembele, Winks, Lamela, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Wanyama, Kane, Dele Alli just off the top of my head.

Real Madrid have had 18 injuries in their 20 games (i.e. 18 players have gone off the pitch injured).

Quite a bizarre number. Without looking into it I'd say it's an unprecedented number in the top 5 leagues.
