No. I think probably Kane and possibly Eriksen fit into that bracket. But it’s a team game and we need to be far more consistent as a team.
It is an achievement but he does'nt tend to do as well against top clubs. I'm sure if he was to get away to a big club he would come on even more and would have a better chance of achieving something that all top footballers want. SUCCESS.
For me I think Eriksen is the better player and would fit into most top clubs teams. I'd gladly swop you Fab for him and a bag of haribou.
What do you know about strikers, Stan ?? I mean, you support the PL club with the most titles won and strikers who won the Golden boot etc.
Will Klopp survive the result last night ?? Even by Poool defence standards, that second half was a shocker.
That's exactly my worry for the season. I go into it hoping we win something and with this current group there is no way in the world we will win anything. The sensible starting point would be a center back in Jan to partner Matip but even then I don't really see us winning any of the available trophies. I keep waiting for signs that it'll click and they have been there recently but at the end of the day no matter how good a system you have and no matter how much you work for each other if you have a lack of talent in key areas it'll hurt you at some point.
Your midfield is just a big an issue as defence imo, no leader in there to pull you through situations like last night. The fact Henderson is still in your team let alone captain is hilarious. You've become very Arsenal like. Play great football scoring a lot of goals but spineless as ****.
To add to this and my point, Liverpool 2005 (yes that old team again). please log in to view this image That team has it's faults, Traore at LB, Kewell and Baros but you have a solid CB partnership and 2 great midfielders, it's solid and has talent. Look at us now and the key areas in midfield and center back are a mess. Henderson is also a poor captain, not vocal and doesn't lead by example he's everything you don't want from a captain.
Yeah see my last post. I can rant about Henderson all day, the ****er has no fight in him. Stick a boot in leave your mark and take a yellow now and then or chip in with goals/assists or a huge workrate. None of it, he does none of it he just gives it simple all game and then leaves the middle of the park exposed by making runs he shouldn't.
The fact there was no back up centre back option was ridiculous, as is the fact they still haven't properly addressed the left back issue. Plus it's all good playing attacking football but you've got to work with what you've got.
I agree, his loyalty is commendable to a point. He believed he could coach some players into his system and that they would improve. Nothing wrong with that but there comes a point where you have to just say no and admit that some players simply do not have the required talent. Henderson, Moreno and Lovren stand out here. Wijnaldum needs babysitting so may improve and maybe he still has a future but he's a ****ing pussy of a player and needs to man up.
We put our eggs in one basket, wanted VVD didn't get him so did nothing. Crazy. There were already signs that Klavan wasn't up to it and that Lovren is an accident waiting to happen so it leaves us with 1 center back in Matip and a young Gomez. Why Gomez isn't playing CB right now with all that has happened is strange. We should have at least tried TAA Matip Gomez Robertson it can't be any worse.
Not happening mate. Our home form including defence is brilliant. Quite simply Win = top of group. Draw = 2nd in group. I have no doubt whatsoever that we won't **** it up.
Should have gone for a couple of 40 million pound defenders instead of chasing one and failing to get him For close to 70 million quid. What I will say in Klopp’s defence is...he certainly did no panic buying when he couldn’t get his main target. Out of interest is there anyone he could have purchased that would have made a difference? I can’t think of many top defenders that were possible to purchase during the summer
