Good old 606

    OK there were things we didn't like about 606, not least the inconsistent and petty moderation and some of the lesser friendly exchanges; but it was a great community with some excellent debates and I often find myself going back there to re-read some of the more memorable ones.

    What I have noticed is a few names on there that aren't here and I wonder if they are here under a different name, on another site or just dropped out of forums. I even wonder if they are OK.

    Is anyone here under a different name to what they were on 606?

    Does anyone have any news of the few old 606ers who haven't come over?

    Ron - one or two still using fugees, a couple on the proboards site and another couple on JA606 . Haven't seen anything of Galaxy or Iffraaj for a while though.


    Better take those links out now I've had a look. <laugh>

    No sign of Sticks
    There was a bloke from Carlisle who posted some really good stuff.
    Also NJS, CaptainChristy and Captaincarrantuohil were all excellent posters. Also rasfoz, relentless force ,Islanderpei, Roblet and Hallodandy also seem to be missing

    I sometime swap emails with Islander, he still drops by here from time to time. Swanhills is still out there in cyberworld, but rarely visits the betting boards. I also hear from him as well. He's a nice bloke.

    I certainly miss SwanHills - would be good if he came back.
    Also miss Relentless as his extreme 'right of centre' views always got me going.

    My lasting memory from 606 was OLDEST. I have soooo many lovely thoughts and memories from that man that i could write a best seller <laugh> Even now a couple of years on i still think of him whenever Dascombe has a winner or Desparate Dan runs <cool>

    Shame Stick and Galaxy don't post any more as they often gave very good information and selections out.

    Mart was also a nice bloke but clueless with the horses <laugh><laugh><laugh>
