Only interested in Great Britain and Northern Ireland being happy with the arrangement. Ireland are not part of the UK so don't care what they think.

They do indeed, and if the going gets tough they could find themselves with 75% of their export market buying from somewhere else.
For what it's worth, the only viable solution to the border issue is a one country Ireland, and if you think the feckin' border issue is a poser good luck with making that one happen. Decades of strife across the UK and ROI. And in case you think I'm being Norn political, I recently got an ROI passport for my young lad rather than a UK one, as it'll keep more doors open for him in future.
