Take it you didn't read Kanes quotes this week about wanting to say at spurs or notice that we refused to sell Dier to United this summer.
I’m almost feeling a bit blasé about tonight but if you stop and think about it, it’s incredible how far we have come as a club over the last 5 years. City have the league in the bag now, as long as we get top 4 and carry on the champions league run I will be well happy. Oh and an FA cup win would be nice!
What somebody should have told Dortmund and Los Ladrones fans when the group was drawn... please log in to view this image
I'd sell them and Pochettino along with Jan, Toby, Lloris, Winks, Son, Sissoko, Llorente, Dier, Sanchez, Aurier, Trippier and Davies...all for some magic beans....and I would still leave Danny Rose on the bench
After the numerous statements from footballers and coaches who have done exactly the opposite of what they've said etc do you REALLY believe anything they say?
We ain't gonna agree on anything other than the fact we are spurs fans...I ain't interested in a pointless argument mate, wanna enjoy what's left of my evening.
Distribution was appalling though. Composed in defence with excellent positional play but those diagonals were all over the show this evening. Dave impressed me more tbh. Cannot believe he is only 21.
Spurs CL check list : Defending champions in group stage ?? tick. Stuff them at home ?? tick. Finish top of the group ?? tick.
Course we'll agree on some things, we have in the past. I'm happy with the win tonight because had we lost to a failing and losing Dortmund we'd have had problems.
Thought Dier and Sanchez were superb, Winksy was excellent although I think that he does play very conservatively. Rose improved in the 2nd half which bodes well in terms of his fitness. Kane appeared to be much more like his best and Dele set up both goals - so other questions were possibly answered tonight. Onward and upward and 3 points at the weekend, please
We played with 2 strikers tonight with Son right up alongside Kane, and it really suits us with the wingback system. Theres no reason why we cant sign another CF ideally with pace to partner Kane not just to sit on the bench.
I am the most contrary mo to I know.....apart from you....and it'll make for a looooooooooooonnnnnnnng Tuesday night
I'm not at all contrary as far as I can see. If I detect weaknesses in the play I'll say so,nothing sinister in that colin. Doesn't make me contrary if I go against mainstream opinion. Things I notice like Eriksen scoring three for his country in one match and none in two for his club.
I think Winks was absolutely right to play it as safely as he did. Up against a pacy team with no DM to help him - one misplaced pass and they're all over us like a rash. His maturity and awareness are mind-boggling. I love watching him off the ball. The only player apart from perhaps Kane whose head moves more than his feet. Constantly looking around, building a mental picture of the chess board.
D.G.C is the most negative poster on here by some distance. The only Spurs supporter i have heard who said we were lucky to beat Real Madrid at home. He NEVER sys anything positive about Spurs. Personally think he is a wum.
Look, didn't Dier WANT to go to Utd?Hasn't Eriksen NOT ruled out a move to Barcelona? Won't Alli buckle at the knees when Madrid offer him double wages? Won't Rose go to Utd? Who are you? I was happy with the Liverpool result wasn't I and am happy tonight. I see you have 132 messages in SIX AND A HALF years and you call ME negative.
Well said mate. Winks is a continuity player that every top side needs. He can take the ball under pressure and keep it. Such maturity and will go on to be a great player for Spurs and England.
