I went to the evening at the Palace Theatre on Sunday, and was a really good evening! They all seemed to get on so well, and genuinely loved playing for the club and appreciated what they had! Some from that era must look on with envy at what players get today...
Yes - it was another excellent evening of stories and laughs on occasions. They might envy the money but not sure about the style of football - none seemed very impressed with the pass pass pass....aspect of modern football! Like Kev says they all still know each other and get on well - wonder how many would in 30 years time thesedays?
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...icharlison_attracting_interest_from_overseas/ The Chinese and their big fat wallets have discovered Richarlison. I wonder how they would pronounce his name?
Some bright spark has put a sale price of £25million for Richarlison. At the moment I would imagine Gino has an eventual price in excess of £50 million in his head. To achieve that figure he would have to remain at Watford for a reasonable time.
If they can't pronounce his name we could send them someone else in his place. Didn't AC Milan think they were buying someone else when they bought Luther ?
I remember reading that on here a while ago but, needless to say, have forgotten the correct pronunciation. How should Carillo be pronounced?
"rr" is rolled and "ll" is a y. No idea about the Brazilian lad, but also read somewhere, or was it in an interview with him...can't remember either!
http://www.brazil-help.com/pronounce.htm Just out of interest, I enlisted the help of this site. It seems to suggest that Richarlison should be pronounce as Hee - shar - liz - ong . But I'll stand corrected...
Anyone in the military can be court martialled for singing that. It is a relic from the tussle with Bonnie Prince Charlie that has not been removed from the books.
I would guess that it is a more gutteral H than the aspirated H used in English. A bit like the double r sound for Carrillo. i want us to sign a player from southern Africa with a click in his name.
