More of them go though. And of course no one ever leaves the KC early, even when the game is evenly poised and we are pressing for a winner, no one rushes out early instead of staying to applaud them off after a victory.
Fair's fair. I understand those leaving early in preference to getting stuck in the traffic in the East Riding.
Was looking at Wolves tickets. Season passes here for comparison. https://www.wolves.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets/ As usual the devil is in the detail. Tomorrow they play TWS. Adult tickets go from £25-£30. Assuming our game against TWS is category A our tickets for adults will be from £30-£36. A difference but not too outrageously so. However, to use myself as an example, if I took my 2 grandkids , both under 12, to City v TWS I wouldn't get the over 65s discount as I would be buying a junior concession ticket of which only one would be allowed at the lower price and the other would be at the higher concession price. So to sit behind the goal I would pay £30 + £24 + £18 a total of £72 for the three of us. At Molineux tomorrow it would cost £15 for me and £5 for each of the kids a total of £25.I guess there will be more grandads introducing their grandkids to, and making future fans for, the local club in Wolverhampton than Hull. Anyone who defends our pricing scheme needs certfying. Other ticket prices At Wolves tomorrow for tickets equivalent to North Stand, under 21s £15, under 17s £12.
Never known anyone from East Riding leaving early. Not a lot of point when you have a journey by car or have come by train as the train won't be leaving any earlier. Most leaving early have to get all the way to Anlaby or North or East Hull as " our lass gets a right strop on if I'm late for my tea".
I just deleted a few obvious replies to that, because I can't be arsed. I was only going for the easy bite.
Not a bite, just a fact. And it got an extremely easy bite. Only ever left one City game early and don't know anyone else who has.
How come it's only ever ppl that leave early that get the stick...what about the propel who leave 5/10min before half time, they are just as annoying and missing exactly the same amount of the game etc
I find it puzzling that people pay a lot of money to watch something and then miss nearly a quarter of the first half to queue for over priced crap beers and pies.
They won't be missing part of Peter Kay's show or when they go to see a band or go to a concert or the cinema to get a pint and leaving ten minutes before the end to rush home from events which finish later than a football match, so why do so many football fans do it? I can understand someone deciding to call it a day when their team is four or five down but when they are winning, and even more so drawing and pushing for a winner, then it is a strange phenomenon.
I regularly miss the last few minutes of the first half to get to the front of the beer queue. I often leave around 87/88 mins to get to Parkers before the mad rush (admittedly less people rushing at the moment). The simple facts are the pub is much more fun than the games at the moment, and warmer. I don't see what everyones beef is with people leaving a bit early. You've paid your money to get in, what difference does it make what time you leave. Edit - of course if game is tight I stay to the end, but if game is to all intents and purposes over may as well bugger off to the pub
In your world Simon we've got more points on the board. Denying yourself those painful last minute equalisers or winners from our opponents
I don't think I'm the only one that's been in the pub missing the last 90 odd minutes of the game for a couple of seasons now.
