Our pathetic stewards

It all comes from the top.
They can't all be little Hitlers.
Instructions to remove banners must take priority over safety and dignity

 

I was in west stand satdee, 2 lovely young lasses stewarding. No complaints. Apart from the 2 blokes behind me, went a bit like this, after a foul on a City player, at full volume.

Bloke 1: Book him ref, ****in' book him.
Bloke 2: He's got a yellow card.
Bloke 1: Yeah but he ain't ****in' booked him has he, ****in' book him ref!
Bloke 2: He's got a yellow card.
Bloke 1: Yeah but, etc, etc.

repeat a couple of times. Then repeat the whole lot for every foul on a City player.

Then at the end, leaving the ground with everyone else, bloke 1 to steward, 'here mate, any idea what time it is?'

I despair.

 

Decent Stewards at Scarborough all 5 of them

And not a cop in the ground

Though all the cops in scarborough got called to the stadium v Hyde when scarborough fans wouldn't let the Hyde fans out of the ground

 

Bloody Scarborough fans. Hooligans, the lot of em

 

Wouldn't they be better off delivering Pizza?

 

I've had some real head scratching episodes with the stewards, genuinely WHAT THE **** things.

For the most part they're all right. Or they were. I bet they've all been sacked since I last went.

 

How do you know they aren't doing both?

 

Exactly , most of them are paid minimum wage and just do what they are told to do
obviously some are dickheads but they are a minority

 

I don't buy it. Being a steward must be really easy not to be a jobsworth yet loads of em are.
