I used to think Big Sam was a good manager, and still do to some extent but he is starting to remind me of Billy Davies who i do hate. Leeds didnt play well, it was the refs fault. Shoulda been two penalties for West ham(obviously hes forgetting the other penalty we shoulda had, ya know the parker challenge on aidy white) I wouldnt even say the West Ham ones were penalties to be honest especially the tackle aidy white had, it was inch perfect. And speaking of good tackles, how good was clayton's tackle towards the end, think it was on parker and he was the last man. I couldn't possibly be more impressed with what i saw of clayton..
amazing tackle! gonna be a class player! and the bit where he made noble fallover his feet in the 2nd half was pure class. he made parker look 2nd rate
I thought we played very well. We need to get our defense in order though, get Radebe in as a defensive coach. Claytons takle on the halfway line was amazing...
Did you read the BBC report for the game? They say 'as usual parker ran the show and was the best player on the pitch'. Thats a bunch of crap i wouldnt say he played even in the top 3 players. Maybe they accidentally put parker instead of clayton...haha
Big Sam is under a lot of pressure. The expectation from the media, the owners and many others seems to be that West Ham will win promotion comfortably. Certainly it's hard to imagine a Championship side playing in the Olympic stadium after 2012. If he looks like failing he'll be sacked. I don't recall a time when he's been in a job where he's expected to win something. The hype and expectation will rub off on the home crowd at Upton Park and they will get more and more frustrated the longer they aren't in the top two. The so-called Premier League players in the side will want away if an immediate return doesn't look likely. It's a fine dividing line for West Ham this season and it could get to them.
BBC aren't biased, they are just clueless. I've noticed on several occasions BBC have had some bias towards Leeds, and others against. Like I say, clueless. Hope their investigations into our fascist dictator come good, however.
Capello was there - Johnny and Clayton should start in the middle for England with White at Left Back.
It would be great for the players but I think that Championship clubs suffer from domestic international call-ups because games aren't rescheduled.
Who cares what anyone thinks at the end of the game? As Leeds fans we were happy with taking a point from the division favorites, we are happy with a damn good performance and both the point and display were far more than I could have hoped for after the Southampton game. Nobody will remember who played best or what penalty appeals that were and were not given come the end of the season, just the statistic that is was 2-2 If Sam wants to complain he should think himself lucky 9/10 times a penalty would be scored, he was lucky Gradel missed and he was lucky that we scored a goal for him. I do think both teams should have had another penalty but they didn't so it evens out. His biggest worry is with 9 days to go he is going to have to replace a couple of big named players and the new look team are going to need to gel pretty quickly if they are going to live up to their favourites tag
Championship takes the international break when the Premier League does. There are very few games held during the season (at least for England), just that one that never was the other week springs to mind.
The entire team knows they should have won it. Now, I don't mean this as a bad thing, so hear me out. They'll be extremely chuffed with a hard fought point, but they'll be thinking "they weren't all that, we could have won it". Now they'll be hungry to beat everyone and won't feel like they can't match any team. If I were Grayson I'd make the team watch this game again the night before going to Leicester. Or even the morning before. Put it on on the team bus, get them fired up and remind them they are as good as anyone in this league, and can beat anyone playing like that.
I don't want to see any Leeds player in the England squad just yet 1) We would miss them if our game was not re-scheduled 2) New contracts negotitations would be a nightmare with their agents demanding xxx amount 3) Ken Bates eyes would light up with £££££ and they would be sold with the first decent offer on his desk
Did you hear the west ham tannoy announcer name scott parker as the man of the match... Yet the npower man of the match was Adam Clayton! Says it all mate.. West ham like, big sam are ****ing clueless! And i was chuffed to see clayton wipe that smug smile off his face when kissa put the ball in his own net! Hypocrite spring to mind
Yep winger for the under 21s could be the answer to our left back problems but not likely that Trap will introduce him at this stage of A QUALIFICATION campaign
You might think its a shame hes Irish, i dont. Delighted to see three Irish internationals in the side yesterday. Weve had some top class ones in the past Giles, Kelly and Harte.
He's not really Irish, he's a Tad lad. Irish relatives I do believe, not sure if the U21's means he's committed to the Irish for good. As long as he continues to play for LUFC like he is at the moment who cares?
