I never said he was "a fraud", as far as I know he's not claiming to have been badged by the SAS but if the LinkedIn profile I saw is correct he was a PTI.

A "Physical Training Instructor", not SAS as they don't have PTIs so he was probably attached to 22 SAS (or 23, or 21 maybe), it's very doubtful he actually "instructed" anyone on anything as everyone in the Army has had a PTI at one time. The name is a misnomer as they don't actually Instruct you in anything, they simply monitor your performance whilst doing physical training.

he could have, but tbh I wouldn't doubt his army knowledge. Some things i might doubt but not that.

I did an Aldo and googled him, just seems someone gave the guy an SAS name badge but nothing to back up that he was ever actually in action. Of course you could quote the secrets act Si but i'd pretty much guess that Dev will only rip you to shreds again.

Unlikely as I'm not planning to change jobs in the forseeable future and Linkedin probably won't appreciate terms like "Extremely handsome, gregarious and hilariously entertaining, a hit at parties, gifted bass player and all round good egg" on a resume.

I'm not blaming you for the video or it's misleading title, it was titivation for the US market it was aimed at. The yanks have a habit of calling anyone who has a connection to SF as out and out crack commandos. That's the only point I was making. They probably tried to get some SAS guy and failed and found this guy had a tenous connection to the SAS, he was probably quite happy to play along as most would probably do.

As I said, he's a tough bastard and I would'nt take him on then or now or even in my prime.
