No ... you claimed that Leicester fans were saying he was a 'top bloke' ... which was just as much bollox ...
Seem to remember the spuds defending Gareth Bale in exactly the same way, in that he’s so quick that he goes down to ‘evade’ the challenge. Not saying it’s right, but there’s some serious hypocrisy going on here slating Vardy for doing the same thing.
It’s difficult for refs but I agree and also think there are times where players (not speaking Vardy) go down to avoid a clattering and jump straight back up. I can’t think of specifics but I’ve seen both pens and bookings given at times. People don’t realise there is a middle ground. If the strikers doesn’t appeal and gets up just play on.
It is difficult for refs, because not only is the game so quick, but some players deliberately try to con the officials. I think there is a grey area where pacey players look like they are diving, but are either evading an incoming challenge or just go over due to their momentum. My point though is to highlight the hypocrisy from those slating Vardy, and who defended Bale to the hilt for exactly the same thing when he was at spurs.
Nigel Adkins (god bless him) once said of Jay Rodriguez, after he had gone down in the box with no contact whatsoever, that " the player unbalanced himself anticipating the challenge". That was pure genius from Nige, and he very nearly had me convinced.
Deli Alli doesn’t dive, he just experiences gravity more acutely than other players. Watch PNP go ape now and post half a dozen videos of Arsenal players diving
Yeah as you say, a grey area that can only be resolved by taking more notice of the players reaction and video replays. We know there’s hyposcrisy. Not to tar them all obviously but there’s an awful lot of them who can’t say a bad word against their club or players and get so defensive if someone does. And then turn on other clubs and players. I wouldn’t accuse Alli or Young for example without achknowledging Vardy or slate Fellaini for his violent conduct with saying Huth is as bad
tbf the refs are ****ers for only giving pens when a player rolls about. Plenty of times when a foul is committed the foul doesn't get given if the player tries to stay on his feet. So yeah I agree, the ref has to take a lot of the responsibility here, it's their job and it only attracts diving.
The major difference between Vardy and Bale is that Bale doesn't slow down to initiate a foul. He keeps on running to score a goal. Ask Maicon.
Agreed. A foul is a foul, regardless of whether the player goes down. As you say the times that refs don’t give pens because a player has stayed on their feet, just encourages players to dive to make sure they get the decision. Having highlighted this. Arsenal should have had a pen against spurs when Sanchez (the **** spurs version) fouled Sanchez in the box when he was 1 on 1 with Lloris
... do they still come with your face printed on them or have they switched to Florence Nightingale or Quentin Crisp?
Ignoring the bit where I clearly say below some bad things about our players just select the bits you want that’s right
Which one of the two tedious geordie ****ers will be sniffing Mrs Vardys clunge? Or maybe both the ****ing slapper. Might put Vardy off his game, thinking his Mrs is taking it up the ****ter of Ant and Dec, and probably Dennis Wise chucking his fat on her face.
I'd much rather ride Shapi Khorsandi to be perfectly honest ... I'll do her and you can have the threesome with Ant and Dec ... sorted
