Usmanov is prepared to pay to avoid another Arsenal where the manager gets to vote on his own sacking
You're probably right, although some Welsh fans have stated they don't like his style of football. I think he could do ok with them.
Wales probably peaked at the Euros 2016 but Pulis is not the sort of manager needed. There is some talent but it is spread thinly.
Kolarov is class MITO. You just don't see his attacking talent. I've always maintained this. Would take kolarov at chelsea
IMO wales will cruise to next euros as its now got so many teams allowed in they cannot miss. Whoever takes the job should be happy to get a retirement job they can't fail with if bale is in any way fit.
his legs are gone. simple as its just the way it goes. 3/4 years ago fine... kolarov and zabaletta were good enough to win the league. now they are gone. Guardiola has to take over a side which were a bunch of individuals and s lot over the hill Look at what he's done... both city and utd are unlimited budgets FINE ok.... but peps nailed the keeper issue, nailed the full backs, and got the best out of the superb attacking talent given to him. Hell even stones and otamendi look like proper defenders and the most certainly had not under the ould fella.
how much money has he made himself this time seriously i think he does this deliberately. he's the greediest ****er going. THey had a great start to season so fearing he would have to actually stay and see out the contract he downs tools, gets the sack and a giant pay off and will turn up managing a side before christmas... another signing on fee and bonus for keeping them up.. then he will try to get the sack wherever that is again
not sure if kolarovs legs are gone. Still relatively young. Seemed to do okay against us in both legs (although we were in turmoil) and Roma are ripping it up in Serie A with him as their left back. Where he struggles is his lack of concentration and motivation. To be fair Otamendis always been decent but the english press seem to give him a hard time. Stones is plain average. That team Pep took over was already great. He's added Sane, Jesus and the wingbacks and a decent keeper. All the key players imo was already there and maybe they've adapted to peps philosophy but last season was a giant failure from Pep with that team he had. KDB, Silva, Aguero, Fernandino, were all their beforehand and are key players right now (with 3 of them key beforehand in their PL wins). I will give Pep his due on improving Sterling as hes starting to add a bit more end product and intelligence to his play and moving KDB into a controller role. Frankly though he's done what PSG have done in Ligue 1
I read a piece recently on how Pep had studied how Sterling struck the ball and has been working on him to change the entire way he he shapes his foot and holds himself when striking the ball. That's proper coaching and the results are obvious
He also painted a line on the pitch and told him not to cross it. to stay wide where he wanted him. I reckon a lot of english players are the same, having to start from scratch with them. It seems stones couldn't defend (according to some ) but 12 months in and stones and otamendi are doing well.
Pulis sacked as WBA drop into the relegation zone... Now WBA owners on the look out for the managers with the best record of keeping distressed clubs in the premiership. Now who would be on that short list? Big Sam, and...
''Silva has no release clause in his two-year contract at Watford. Given the turmoil it would cause, there is little to indicate at this stage that the club will waver. It is understood Silva would like the opportunity to speak to Everton but will also abide by Watford’s decision if they stand firm.'' When he signed on at Watford - Asked what attracted him to sign a two-year deal with the Hornets Silva told watfordfc.com: “Firstly I really like the approach of the board and the owner. “They showed me the project and I like the ambition. “The club want to improve for the next seasons and this is what I try to fight for in my career as well – to always improve, to do a good job and to ensure a good connection between the manager and the club. How empty those words now seem. Given how he's off at the earliest opportunity - 12 games in at Watford - is Silva the right man for Everton? If Moshiri really is looking to build for the future then when is he going to get a manager to do just that rather than the journeymen he's been approaching?
