**** pot Reames boasting on ITTV how he shouted the word “imminent” at Rick on Saturday as he walked past ......not just once but twice.....wow he’s such a force to be dealt with, even lamely suggesting Rick **** himself........LOL! Another classic example of how Reames fancies himself as pwopa nawty!
He has no idea whatsoever in the history of our club and the part Rick has played in galvanising the fan base in times of strife.
Reames obviously had/has dreams of becoming that person via Voice of The Valleyvont but Rick outwits and out thinks him every inch of the way with his intelligence and inside knowledge which drives Reames to the point of insanity......I just sit back and laugh at the perpetual loser.

We could have John Paul Getty and Warren Buffett as joint owners at Charlton and be 20 points top of the Premier League - Everitt &
Co will never be happy until they are back where they *think* they are entitled to be - in the boardroom, in the Directors Box, in the know, snouts back in the trough like in the Glory Years under Murray....sorry....Curbs.

That is the real agenda. Never have so many been mugged off to achieve that goal - getting RE and BH back in the Charlton boardroom.

Only partly agree with you there - Rick Everitt is a big part of the problem.

He’s had no serious intent to buy Charlton for more than a year.

Everitt has never recovered from his dismissal by the Club for Gross Misconduct.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the current CEO is a wrong ‘un, but others on here can confirm that Everitt undermined a number of her predecessors for his own motives as well.

If Everitt was so accomplished in his role at Charlton. - as he and his stooges Wendy Perfect & Ben Hayes would have us believe - why didn’t he test his skills and experience on the marketplace after his sacking, and get an equivalent job with another football club? He could have joined Gillingham, and started a coach service that bussed plastic Gills fans in from London SE7.

Anyone would think based on his CV since being sacked by Charlton that Varney & Murray didn’t appoint him on merit in the first place - as opposed to the wish to keep a gobby pest inside the tent p1ssing out.

To paraphrase the old gag about Andrew Neil, Rick Everitt is not as nice as he looks.

I probably agree that he’s never got over it.....and it’s an easy subject matter to throw into the ring as to whether you trust him or not and it’s an old and well used suggestion.
Everybody apart from Murray have long since flown the coup, so that argument (taking it to its logical conclusion), would suggest that he must therefore now have it in for CAFC......which is of course a total nonsense.
It must be said it was far better to have had him inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in.

Was it? He was as disruptive when he worked there, but people liked him as he responded to their posts on CL.

Let’s be honest - be became bitter when Waggot bested him to the CEO position. At that point, he went in to business for himself, and not the club.

My opinion is if he could have had someone to bankroll a takeover, and someone who could have nurtured Paul all whilst having enough trust to let him get on with the football side that we would have ended up with one of the best chairman.

Several “ifs”, but having someone that close not only to football, but the club itself would have been huge. Alas it wasn’t meant to be.. at this moment in time. When there’s a takeover on the horizon, they’d do well to approach PE and see if there’s a place for him at the club.

But it's a statement of fact. It's well known that Paul Elliot is putting together a consortium to try and purchase the Club. It's just that it would appear it doesn't look anywhere as near as credible as the main bidders.

Hayes was the supporters representative on the Board, with very little powers other than having the ear of Murray.

Everitt was never on the Board and directly reported to Varney. Agreed he probably helped to get rid of Waggott but he was almost as incompetent as Meire.

Is it? It was a while ago, but hasn’t been that way for a sizeable period of time.

Paul isn’t waiting around, he has always kept himself busy. Within football, and outs.

As for Waggot being incompetent - his main purpose was to make the club somewhat viable to operate. He did that. All the bullshit coming out of the club was from one man.

Now that’s a matter of fact.

It’s also worth noting that Steve went in to hold several high positions within football. Coventry he walked in to a **** storm and did an incredible job.

What he didn’t do was bitch and moan on a forum.

    Not saying it wasn't.

But I met Waggott on four separate occasions and formed an opinion of his competence within two minutes of the first meeting. He was all puff and wind and management speak. To be fair Varney was a hard act to follow.

I was told only last week that Elliot is still trying to put together a bid, so surprised if this is not the case.

Mind you, not as surprised when I heard who else was also working on a bid.
