I agree. Anyone can program any series of events in fm.

You can accidentally transfer out a couple players here for there etc.

I don't think anything of the sort.

I may have in the past had certain mega rich sides buy ****e off reserves for 50 or 100mil.

It's very easy hack that game.

It's just bullshit game mechanics now. far too long to fiddle with minor crap to play a game.

haha no way. Difference being Bobby couldn't organise a team (at least silva has organised a press) and also bobby just passed the ball round the back whereas Watford actually go forward

Just watched highlights of Napoli v Milan from last night. Our Pepe in goal for Napoli and Suso on display for Milan.
Now, Insigne scores the first goal for Napoli but its ruled offside by the lino. The ref then asks a 4th official to view the replay and the correct
decision is made (onside). This technology is surely on its way to the Prem, the sooner the better imo.
Not sure if the captain of the team has to ask for it or what?

His first season was a revelation. Silva has so far not managed anything out of the ordinary that makes me excited.

Great pressing won’t help, we will be punished at the back especially if we move up the pitch, no pace in defence.

It is great to be moving in this direction but I think serious thought has to go into it

Take this scenario: Defenders will stop playing if they see the lino flagging for offside, can an attacker just continue to run for 30 yards, slot it and demand that the replay is looked at? They review he's deemed level and the goal stands? That wouldn't be right

Defenders have to play the whistle as they do now? I know what you mean though, it has to be thought through

What influence does that whistle have though? I.e what right would the ref have to blow up without seeing the replay!?

Just playing devils advocate but all sorts of questions come out of it

I see some massive issues with this.

what happens if he’s flagged offside so defenders and keeper stop when he puts ball into net but ref then goes to 4th official and it’s onside. I’d be pissed as a defender that an official has made a decision and put flag up so I’ve stopped playing. I know play to the whistle but if Lino makes a decision then natural instinct is to stop?

What happens if he’s flagged offside, when through 1v1 and ref blows for offside but he’s actually on? Do they review those? Not much you can do, can’t replay the bit.

Are you juat going to end to end up with Lino’s and refs not making decisions there and then, letting play continue to see what happens then letting video ref decide?

is this only when a goal is scored. What if it conceded a corner and goal is scored from that? What if you give offside when it’s not and other team go and score from that free kick by countering quickly etc?

Goal line is sinple because it ends in dead ball situation or just continue playing and decision made within a second. Offside is very different in that you interrupt the flow one way or another depending what decision was originally made and can take a lot longer to work out.

Got there just before me <ok>

As a defender myself I see the lino flag and I stop. Natural instinct of playing 20 years doing that because ref will never overrule Lino for offside.

    I agree with both.

First always play to whistle BUT there has to be a case where someone tries to put the ball in net and risk it.

Like ok sometimes you get the shot off and turn and see the flag but a lot of times you are blown up and a guy can have a strike. If you are blown up you are robbed of any chance to finish.

Maybe the law needs to be no whistle and play on til ball goes out or into goal and then pull it back.

I mean if salah runs in and is flagged offside before he has a changed to score but is a yard onside how is that any different to someone tapping in and bring called back.

Deffo linesman flag will havevto be treated differently.

Simple answer, refuse permission to Sky and co to show ridiculous slow mo, multi angle camera shots and leave it to the humans in charge. Football is and always has been a game played by and officiated by humans. Leave the game alone.

Oh sorry others got there first.

I agree rule must change to have game carry on til ball is in net or behind for a corner or something.

I actually would not mind having no free kick for offside at all. Just flag goals or corners resulting for the offside.
