I say yes. Give him a contract and if he abides by it he stays. If he doesn't he goes. I don't see the problem. The refe

ree handles him on the pitch, the manager off. There are plenty of saints out there, but not many worth signing. We're not trying to win the nice club but..... award. If Warnock fancies him I'm there too.

On talent yes but the bigger picture no. To stay up this year we need a tight dressing room and an all for one attitude, I believe he has temperamentality to upset this and cause problems behind the scene which out wieghts his talent.

    A post on LFW:
    ============
In one of the papers at the weekend there was an article on Barton and some of his past indiscretions. The one I hadn't heard that had me chuckling all the way from Crewe to Chester on the train was that after his comment about "I went to the World Cup, we were sht, buy my book - who wants to read that?" he was then later called up to the England squad and the ashley coles and frank lampards of the squad who had all written post world cup books shunned him because of what he said.

Apparantly on the first morning Barton went and sat down in the restaurant and Lampard got up and moved to another table because he didn't want to sit with him. Barton shouts after him across the restaurant "Don't worry, I'm not going to steal your breakfast you fat prick".

@flanman I'm thinking 40 points will see us safe so, ticking them of as we go along. Keeps a touch of prespective and reminds me what the aim for this season is.

    No for many reasons.

    1) Not as good as he thinks he is
    2) Not as good as everyone else would have you think he is
    3) If he were a dog at Battersea his profile would read "does not work well with others", just as likely to smack Adel in the mouth for showing off as passing the ball to him
    4) Would assume control
    5) Would confirm what I have longs suspected about Warnock
    6) Many other players available of superior quality
    7) I don't care how many books of popular quotations he's got off Amazon, it doesn't make him well read. The way people are going on about him you'd think he was Oscar Wilde.
    8) Dirty thug on and off the pitch, if it was your family business would you be happy for him to be walking around kicking the brown stuff out of people wearing your uniform? QPR is a family club and have never gone for the bully in the playground players before
    9) Far too happy to open his mouth or fire off a few Tweets, no class.

He speaks very highly of me though............<laugh>

Funny how some of you have said no due to him having a potentially negative impact on the team spirit/morale at your club, when he is one of the key reasons we have a good team spirit at nufc.

He doesnt drink anymore and has admitted that was one of the reasons he was so aggressive off the pitch in the past. Anyway, I'm happy for everyone to still have doubts over him so he stays with us. <ok>
