I never boo the team even when I am as frustrated as everyone else. I don't advocate booing our team one bit. Why not simply leave without appluading the team off like I do if I think we have been poor. However, When you get a player coming over to the East stand and calpping the fans, like Rosenior did on Saturday, I will always applaud back. It's very frustrating at the moment and our team need to start taking a few pot luck cracks at goal. There have been plenty of goals scored this season which have come from shots which the keepers should have saved. I think we also need to be a little more inventive from corners. We have enjoyed plenty of posession and corners but failed to make much of them. We were scoring regularly from corners a couple of seasons ago. Pearson also needs to play a different formation at home. There was no way that Saturday's team could move into a 4-3-3 like a lot of 4-5-1's. Get three strikers on and start taking the game to the opposition, that's what I say.
It is becoming a bit of a trend that NP is getting his tactics wrong and having to rectify them with substitutions. Until Cameron is back i honestly do not think he knows what formation to play. In regard to long shots, we have had plenty but i can only think of a couple (Cairney & Brady I think) that were on target on Saturday
Although i dont do it, just how does booing help the opposition. Has it been scientifically proven. I thought all the booing was after the match, i may be wrong but i cant recall anyone booing during the match or at half time .
So, the players hear booing at the end of one game, like us, they won't be sure what the booing was for. It'll be in their mind on and off through the week. Coming out the next week, are they going to be more or will they be less confident? Is that diversion to our advantage or the oppositions? Negative feedback is very well researched and with few exceptions is seen as detrimental to performance with the opposite found for positive feedback.
In a recent scientific study, 76% of players were found to perform more poorly in a game, following one in which they had been booed. Oh, and 74.6% of all statistics are made up.
