    Really sorry to hear about ‘pops. I hope he pulls through this. Always a warm, funny and genuine fella on here, which I’m sure is the same in real life.

    I've really missed his posts recently, but thought that he must just be fed up with all the **** going on at the moment. He really seems a genuinely nice fella and I hope that he makes a full recovery and is back on the board soon. Thoughts are with you - stay strong x

    ****ing hell that's horrendous, I'm obviously an outsider but always found him one of the best posters on this board (no offence to anyone) and I'm genuinely a bit upset by reading this news.

    update On the old fella

    Thanks everyone for your kind words, he will be touched when he reads this

    The operation yesterday seems to have done the trick and is a lot better in himself today, hopefully over the worst of it now
