Nothing untoward you remind me of a fella who was military and used to visit his mum who was a neighbour to one of my family members.

 

I was only 18 there. Joined when 17.

I wanna know what training was like when you joined up. So a typical day??

 

Took me 9 month of training to get that ****ing green beret. Young and daft, but fit as ****.

 

Yeah I was the same joined at 17 either that or in a cell. I could see that so made a choice.

 

Torture I really didnt have a clue what i let myself in for.

Haha, i'd like to think yes. But it wouldn't work now.

 

No for me, it has to be a choice and those who make that choice tend to made of the right stuff or at least want to be.

Now don't get this wrong but what you said above re 17 and army or cell resonates with me as I know loads of blokes I went to school with who joined up as a last resort and it made men of them

I also had family members who's joined up for variety of reasons but it was the making of them, for example a step uncle who joined up as his step family were not brill. Spent 18 years in the army

My point is that you have to realise that you're on the wrong track and want to change it. Making someone who doesn't want to be there go could be a problem and especially in the modern world. It helped me but I knew I needed to get away or I was ****ed and I knew I didn't want to be the person I was becoming.
