If it gets TC bulleted the end would justify the means... short term pain for long term gain.... Besides if it becomes eight defeats in ten or eleven he fully deserves sacking and that’s not before you look at how spineless the players are under him.
You see, that's bollocks, if TC turns this round it means we are doing well, why not hope for that than want the above??
Because having watched his team with my own eyes both home and away I am convinced he is the worst coach we have ever had. A fluke win or two won’t change my mind. I want to buy a half season ticket x2 and feel we will at least compete. But we won’t if he stays it’s that simple somI will keep watching in tele, picking an odd game to watch live instead. You don’t think 8 defeats from 10 merits the sack?
It's not good, but he also went on a winning streak and I didn't put out the bunting. I'm just trying to get to grips with your argument. First you say the coach is clueless so we need to get rid. In other posts you say the team is much weaker due to the 'cheap foreign imports' we've bought. If the latter is true, what good would it do replacing the coach?
Because Orta will only get two coaches at most before the dof experiment is binned as a failure. Getting rid of Tc and Orta in one move would be too much to hope for/Until we get a British coach and back him with funds we won’t improve.
We have t had that since Ridsdale and no I am not suggesting we live the dream again... A decent coach building his own team with all transfer proceeds plus the money Rad has already pocketed and another £5mill invested would see us out of this league. We won’t get up on the cheap or with a dof
What are you talking about, Grayson, McDermott, Blackwell, Warnock, Wise, McCallister, Monk etc. all 'british managers' that failed (and they were the only ones that spring to mind'} and I can't even begin to think of the **** players they brought in. Your view that all we need is a british manager doesn't stand up to scrutiny (and a view that should be posted on the **** brexit thread, maybe we should employ Farrage)
Also of the three teams promoted last year two were managed by none British and the third by an ex player of Ireland (OK born in England). I guess it is the supporting with funds bit that is the key point
And which of those was given a decent budget AND given Automony to buy and sell to get the team he wanted? I was fairly clear both to happen.
Also, not one of the three teams promoted last year had a director of football. Chris Hughton, David Wagner and Rafa would never work for one, let alone one as crap as Orta!
As you know we've been skint for years so is it a rhetorical questions about budget, and which Manager or coach of any team has autonomy to buy and sell
We now sit in 11th place and 15 points behind Wolves, a long way from top spot we occupied for quite a few games at start of season, we sit in 11th place cos we've lost 7 out of the last 8 games. But, it's a funny old game is football. Should we beat Boro by 3 or more clear goals and we can be back in position number 6, if we win by less than 3 we take 7th spot, and some would say "game on", and TC breaths a sigh of relief. Not so sure it would be game on as TC has to prove himself all over again, and let's be honest, we haven't seen any improvements since our fall from top spot. I think this is the game that decides whether TC stays or leaves in the very very short term. Some players may well see it as a grudge match as they played under Monk last season, and may well want revenge themselves (remains to be seen) but anything short of a great performance and win will probably see us lose, and TC on his way. TC needs to get this one right, both in selection and tactics, he needs to make sure he picks a solid midfield and defence, and someone who knows how to take care of Assombalonga if he plays. Jansson needs to get back to playing like the player we saw last season, instead of the fairy footed clod hopping pansy he has been playing like, Ayling needs to stop going so far forward as he leaves gaps at back. Should Phillips play, which he probably will cos he gives good head to TC; he needs to understand he's a team player and plays for team instead of being invisible and getting lost, maybe a map of pitch and a compass might help. I find it hard to get enthused by TC's interviews, granted his command of English language is not brilliant, but he always seems to talk like he's in pain, he seems to make excuses and doesn't talk enthusiastically making fans, or players inspired. Must win game for a few reasons.
