West ham was not our irst team so it is pointless including it.
We may have been lucky with an off side decision v Madrid but we played really well.
We didn't play well v palace or today but we were unlucky today with 2 wrongly awarded goals.
You can not have it both ways mate.
We deserved to lose today but they got 2 lucky decisions which won them the match.
We deserved to beat Madrid but got 1 lucky decision.

Technically then Arsenal were lucky to win today. Baring in mind:

    A) Sanchez made a perfectly clean tackle
    B) Mustafi was marginally offside
    C) Lacazette was offside when receiving the ball.

Football sometimes need luck to swing in the favour of a side.

We deservedly beat Real and Dortmund. Luck or no luck. Today it's fair to say we were **** and Arsenal played better, so on that basis they deserved to win but it was down to the luck of poor officiating that ultimately allowed them to take home the three points.

They were at it from minute 1 I agree...they were getting all the second balls...closing down. That's our game though...the fact that we let tippy tappy Arsenal bully us says something about the temperament of our team today.

Arsenal certainly deserved the win though.

FFS. Chelsea 3-0 against WBA. They were always going to win but could they just ease up a bit so that Pulis is still in post next week? Right now, we don't need the 'dead cat bounce' performance from a team freed from their 'oppressive dictator'.

Claiming we were lucky cos of a deflection is weak imo...it means Gerrard and Lampard were lucky cos lots of their goals were deflected. We could of got 5 or 6 v Madrid...we completely outplayed them and to dismiss it as lucky is silly.

We played badly today. No one on here disagrees.

What does that have to do with it paul? I don't see how their goal has any bearing on the way we are playing. The last three matches told me that we're not on form and Madrid weren't that good either so I expected this result today. Our form has been deteriorating since the Liverpool match.

How is an offside and a deflection not lucky? The misses, the could have beens are irrelevant, it's what we did that counts. Outplayed maybe but scored luckily.

Eskimos don't see perspective, they just see lines on a page. One man's perspective is another man's pretty pattern..........
