He wouldn't have been my choice (I'd rather have Hurst or Heckingbottom), but then I thought that too when we got Sam, and he proved me wrong. Good luck to him.
I think Coleman is an upgrade from Grayson and we weren't a million miles away from being ok with him. He just couldn't sort out the defence.
Plus his missus is worth hanging out of. She's a presenter on Sky sports. Wonder if she will watch us on her days off.
I can see both sides. He’s seems quite a big character which is what I think our dressing room needs. Weak and quiet managers don’t work with some of the lads we’ve got in there. His club record is pretty average to say the least but that was years ago and hopefully he’s learnt a lot since. He did a really good job with Wales and even with Bale and Ramsey getting them to the semis was a magnificent achievement.
+ ---- - @SkySports_Keith Chris Coleman has been tasked with getting Sunderland promoted within 18 months. He’ll have very little to spend, though.
Well it could have been a worse appointment to be fair. Not sure if he will do much better than Grayson though.
