I used to think getting the Allams to use our name and re-introducing proper concessions would have been enough. Now I want them gone because they have spent over half a billion pounds and we cannot put out a team of Hull City players. Our stadium is leaking, we have the same freehold land we had under Pearson and more than a quarter of our team are borrowed from other clubs. They haven't got a clue about building a football team nor a football club. They are useless. More than that they are petty and spiteful. Whilst they remain owners the bitterness and hatred towards them and between fans will continue. Unless we start winning on the pitch our future is bleak.

I have no problem with the Supporters Forum. However a meeting to discuss calling an end to the protests that doesn't include the protesters is pointless. Just window dressing.

Especially since he only contributed a relatively small proportion of the total cost

You need to open your ears mate. Do you go in a pub before the game?
Most Hull City fans are embarrassed to have the Allams as our owners.
Most Hull City fans hate their slimey underhand ways of doing things.
Expect that 15k (cough) to drop next season if they are still in charge.
Currently me and 4 friends have memberships and by next season I fully expect that to be down to one.

I am glad you put match day experience inside quotation marks to show it isn't your expression. People who use the expression match day experience should not be allowed to run or attend football matches.

Taking into account the significant tax avoidance it won't be far off 15%

The terms and conditions of his donation would make interesting reading.

Yes. A few, not as many since my old away game buddy got bored of football :emoticon-0106-cryin. Yes the anti-Allam feeling is stronger there but again, away fans are of a certain type i.e. the more fanatical and the more likely to know about and care about what the Allams have done.

On a similar note but with opposite results, have you ever been on Tiger Travel? :emoticon-0140-rofl:

This got me thinking of ways to get into the hearts and minds of the apathetic fans. Would it be possible to sneak in 15,000 (Ok 10,000) proganda leaflets (is it still propaganda if it’s true) headed “Why we are protesting”, listing the reasons and at the bottom saying, “if you agree why not join our protests? At 19:04 turn this leaflet into a paper aeroplane and throw it on the pitch” (you could even include folding guides in case people can’t make planes). It would require quite a lot of volunteers spread throughout the stadium to be willing to turn up early and distribute them on seats or start a “take one and pass them on” system like off of school.

Hey why not print them on red paper and they could be held up, you know something like "Show the Allams the Red Card".

We could also have 10k stay away fans throwing balls from outside the stadium.<cheers>
Imagine "the plod" if 10k fans were outside the ground at 3.15. They would be calling for backup.
Shall I ring Mike Ashley and see if I can get a good price on the balls?

If he sets his donation against his income it reduces the amount of taxable pay - whatever word you wish to use he pays less tax as a result

'The report found that Britain’s 20 biggest tax avoiders have used three main loopholes to legally reduce their their income tax bills by a total of £145 million in a year.
Two thirds of them wrote off business losses in one of their companies against their income tax bill, reducing it by as much as half .

Several of them offset the cost of business mortgages or borrowing on buy-to-let properties against their income tax bill, while others took advantage of relief on donations to charity'.

Firstly if anyone actually thinks 15,000 people attend Hull City matches they are the deluded one's. You are entitled to your opinion but constantly defending a man who has torn this club apart step by step isn't an opinion it is blindly backing him no matter what.

Do I think we should criticise AA for having a huge picture of him in that building? No, he has donated money and fair play to him. I don't care if it's saved him tax he deserves some credit.

Do I think he is a terrible owner of our football club and the vast majority of fans hate him? Yes I do, but that doesn't mean I can't praise him for donating money.

I saw in the west stand and nearly everyone around me joined in the red card protest and sung the anti allam chants. My dad backed AA originally saying it was his club he could do what he wants. After 42 years he doesn't go, the refusal to use the name and removal of concessions are his reasons. He was originally going to let AA apply for the name change and said he didn't want it to happen but didn't care. If people like my dad are turning their backs on him to think the majority of fans actually back him is ridiculous.

Some fans might not care, but those that care hate what he has done to this club. Very few who care actually back him. There is a huge difference.

TreeHugger will probably claim that this is Photshopped, particularly as it shows the south stand, who apparently oppose the protests.

But it doesn"t work like that. I contribute to some charities every months. I sign a form enabling them to claim back against the tax I have paid as my contributions come from income I have paid tax on. Are we involved in tax avoidance? If Allam is paying it out of private funds he has paid tax already so isn't reducing his tax bill. Money paid through companies operates differently.
I am no fan of his but to say he has done these things to avoid tax is inaccurate and unfair.

Any ideas why twitter won't open on my Android tablet, it just shows a blank screen, but it opens on my Android phone?
