They should be forced to miss the next club match. Kane pulls out of friendlies and on the same day his manager announces that he will be fit for the N London derby. No doubt Alli, Sterling etc will miraculously be fit also. If you don't want it enough go off and play for Scotland.

Scandalous and the FA or whoever is in charge need to grow a pair and sort this out. Please don't let them hide behind ''player power''.

The good thing is that this has given the younger players a chance to prove themselves (and the were just friendlies)

Should get a 3 day ban for not using a condom.

I actually think that Kane, Winks and Delle were genuine injuries. Drinkwater should never be picked again.

I don't understand Drinkwater; he doesn't even play for his club.

I think I remember there being rumours that he isn't too keen to play for his Country before. I may have imagined that mind.

You'd have thought he'd have jumped at the chance to get back in the squad.

How things have changed Col eh. It's unbelievable that someone wouldn' want to play for their country. These are the times we live in when kids playing reserve team footy are getting astronomical wages and living the high life without ever achieving anything. I do try and see it from both sides and my only explanation for the likes of drinkwater are that once everyone is available then would he get selected anyway? So therefore is it a token gesture cap? BUT hes certainly not enhanced any chance by not playing.

Agreed mate, but if I was Drinkwater, I'd have crawled over broken glass to be in the latest squad. We're obviously struggling for decent players in the middle of midfield and he may well have got into the squad if he played regularly till the end of the season. I'd have got myself on loan or a move to get games with the WC coming up.
Not everyone feels that way I suppose. He certainly should never get the chance again!!

I think I know you good enough to know this is so absolutely true....but you would have crawled over broken glass to play every week...

I was going to say it is a different generation.....but not sure that is true.
I think there are still players that would do that..

For example Luongo has never seemed to shirk going round the world to play or sit on the bench. Conor similarly. ...Drinkwater maybe choosing himself not to play, but I am sure some of these injuries are "devised" by their club managers...who are not British and are "protecting" their own players....If Mourinho says you are injured and if you want to play for the club again you are probably "injured"

I think this is definitely true where friendlies are concerned, but I like to think that all the coaches recognise the importance of competitive Internationals.
