Just showing the present set up doesn't really represent a cross section as only onecside comes up regularly. Theybdon'tvseem to have as many issues at other clubs regarding people standing, not Just with fans but stewards, SAG etc. 90% of away fans at KC stand up and at nearly every game you see on TV but we have constant complaints despite not that many standing and, at the moment, plenty of empty seats to move to. But BW's memvers aren't happy. Who are her members and is there a reason their views are more relevant than those who aren't her members,
I mean, if they're serious about stopping it, they can agree to make some simple changes which the HCST Chairman will propose, stuff like proper concessions, branding and future engagement, and that would generate an enormous amount of goodwill. Sure, the protestors won't be there, but why would they want to keep protesting if the issues they're protesting about are resolved?
Ah so we are talking specifically about these mythical protest curtailling meetings. I initially commented about uncalled for slating of the attendees of regular meetings. Well my points still stand. We need a cross section to keep everybody happy. If we pander to the demands of the few who protested, who's to say that won't piss off regular fans and cause further protests by different groups? In fact, playing devil's advocate a bit, why should the club pander to protesters? Maybe they should just video crowds and ban anybody disrupting games. (Not my view but a view that could not too unresonably be taken by the ****s in charge.) But yes, if we are to have a meeting to stop protests then maybe the leader of the group who arranged it (if there actually is a group or anybody identifiable) should be invited.
Obviously people will speak up more if they have a complaint. That's the way people are. You'll get one person standing up to say they are annoyed by standing rather than 11 standing up to say I'm happy with the number of people who stand. There are plenty of people who don't like standing though. The issues have been raised, it's up to the club to do something or nothing about it.
The fact that we seem to have fewer people standing up and singing than most places and the lack of atmosphere is not unconnected. Probably because so many only arrived post KC and have no experience of what a proper football atmosphere is like.
No matter what the ****s do there will always be those who defend them, there were many who responded to the clubs invitation for the meeting and they chose some of them plus representatives of the known groups, that number has now been whittled down, there were 10 in total at the last meeting including those from the club. I still don't know if there was someone from the Trust. It looks crap from all angle's to me.
No doubt she would like eeryone to sit down, only being brought to life to politely applaud a goal. And not objecting to complaints seeing fellow fans ejected.
The joys of watching Scarborough Athletic Nearly EVERYONE stands up . People don't have a choice unless they bought a pass in the small seated stand And more terraced areas are planned. Ehab....I wouldn't want a ticket v Ipswich if you gave them away for free I will be stood up in the all singing shed end on Saturday Scarborough Athletic v Trafford
That's the problem, we don't know what their views are, so have no idea if they're representative or not, they don't even have to allow their names to be published. I'ts quite obvious from the minutes of the previous meetings, that they're really not representative of the majority of fans.
1st sentence: we don't know if they're representative 2nd sentence: they obviously aren't. Is it obvious? How would you know what is representative of the majority of fans? How do you or anybody know what represents the majority of fans? The fact that you seem to think none of this random selection of fans are representative of the majority perhaps suggests that you aren't representative of/don't understand the majority?
I don't think it really matters how representative the Supporters Committee is. If the issues causing the protests aren't addressed then the protests will continue.
The Trust were attended at the meeting by one of our directors Steve Pye. We've always had one of our directors at the meetings.
Good point, maybe the majority of City fans are mainly concerned with the dripping roof and people standing up at games and I've completely misread the whole not using our name, not having concessions stuff.
